Post Four, The Boomer Remover, King Solomon Blog

What didn’t the elite globalism politicians and government pandemic planners understand?

The Purpose of This Post

In Previous Post Three, I stated I will explain what could or would have been a wiser alternative to incorporate the good and bad of globalism and free trade, not only for the USA, but for every Nation in the World.

King Solomon

Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly. (Proverb 16:22)

What’s My Point?

In previous posts, I brought up the wisdom of listening. This post is focuses on an explanation of   what our politicians did not understand about outsourcing manufacturing of 90 percent of USA medical needs to sources 8000 miles away in the belief that if one country does not produce in a global economy, we will just move our manufacturing to another country

The theories of globalism lacked manufacturing experience that elite politicians did not listen or understand. The result is what the sad result we now have experienced of not having adequate PPE and N95 masks available to protect our medical personal everyday workers to work in safety with far less loss of lives and treasure.

My point is not intended to be a “I told you so” or a hindsight opinion. Rather it is to lend understanding of what needs to be done both now and, in the future, to prevent this sad expense from being repeated.

For Example

It takes time to make a widget on a machine or to make a machine. The high production automatic machinery is costly and needs to be justified because it requires more time to manufacture and require engineering and technical skills. Skills that become scarce to find in the country that outsources instead of manufactures either the machinery or the widgets.

Preparing for a pandemic requires government both States and Federal, to inventory adequate supply of medical widgets for immediate needs until replenished. Limitations of having millions and millions of supplies that have limited expiration time periods. When the time periods expire the widgets requires disposal. For example, recent news of California having 25 million N95 masks with defective elastic bands that deteriorated over time.

In My Opinion

What should have been done is to stare less inventory and instead build and store the high production machinery to have available in various plants across the USA. This post will only focus on N95 masks for sake of brevity on the need for medical supplies.

What should have been done instead by the governments would be to make use of the proven manufacturing logistics of just in time, or lean manufacturing logistics employed by most major manufacturers in the world.

If politicians had instead listened or understood less lives and treasure might have resulted.

For Example

The Chicago Tribune news reported the USA has experienced to date over 100,000 deaths to date. If instead, the N95 masks were more readily available and used, the USA, a nation on wheels and planes which added to the rapid spread of the virus, there would have been less infections.

Compare the present costs of borrowing three trillion more dollars to the National Debt along with countless bankruptcies and unemployment, to having on hand, subsided by the government same as in WWII, and available. just 25 more of the 4.3-million-dollar machinery in various locations.

Or, 4.3 million times 25 equals $107.5 million instead of $4 trillion and still counting upward. Each machine making 200,000 masks a day time 25 equals 5 million marks per day becoming available from local sources to avoid a 37-day ocean trip or expensive plane flights. In addition to having 80,000 masks a day being sterilized from just one source as is now being done, would in a short time have enough masks for everyone to engage in work or play. This instead of a massive quarantine.

Sad.

In My Next Post

I will explore how infectious disease enter human hosts and why we need to be wiser and more prepared both now and, in the future, to repeat this sad experience.

You Decide

Has the elitist economic globalism theory and lack of listening and understanding to experienced manufacturing warnings wise or foolish based on this sad experience.

Would requiring the 4.3-million-dollar machinery be built in the USA to have the skills and engineering also available locally in the USA along with the jobs and job opportunities than manufacturing provides?

Will Post Series help readers obtain “a wellspring of life” to better understand the need for local sources of manufacturing in the USA for vital goods such as medical supplies and military components?

Regards and goodwill blogging.

Guns, Chickens, Eggs, King Solomon, Chicago Violence, Post Eleven

cn_chicagosunset
How does the Chicago gun issues compare to the chicken and eggs conundrum?
Will We Ever Know the Answer?
When I read the pros and cons of arguments for or against gun control, I think about the chicken and egg conundrum. Why? Because we know bad guys have existed since the beginning of recorded history and probably will exist until the end of time. We also know there will always be a need for good guys to have a means to protect themselves from bad guys.
Even if was plausible that if a law was passed to demand everybody would  turn in the estimated three hundred million  guns now in the USA, does anyone really believe the bad guys will turn in their guns? Or if it was possible, would that really stop bad guys from obtaining guns from other countries or sources?
In other words, since bad guys use guns to commit violence and good guys use guns to protect from bad guys, which will happen first? Will bad guys ever stop being bad? Or will good guys ever stop bad guys from being bad?
Will any mere mortal  ever be capable of answering this conundrum or solving all the problems of bad guys in the world?  No is what two Ancient Wiseman concluded in their writings of the why and therefore in life, based on their ancient wisdom writings.
Why
“One thing is the words which men say, another is that which the Gods decide. If the tongue of man were the rudder of a boat, the All-Lord is its pilot.” (Amenemope, 1300 BC)
What is crooked cannot be straightened and what is lacking cannot be counted. (Ecclesiasties 1:15)
It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter. (Proverb 25:2)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Proverb 3:5-6 King Solomon,  980 BC)
Therefore
Sow your seed in the morning and do not be idle in the evening, for you do not know whether morning or evening sowing will succeed, or whether both of them alike will be good. (Ecclesiastes 11:6-7)
In Other Words
We mere mortals do not have the power or means to solve all the problems of good and bad that our Creator, for His purposes has decided we must confront in life. However, we should never give up trying to make our world a better place for ourselves and our posterity.
In My Opinion, What to Do About Guns and Chicago Violence
We need to wise up and face reality. There is no one quick and simple solution and there probably will never be any one quick and effective means to ever keep guns out of the hands of the bad guys.
If we continue to pass laws and regulations about guns with exceptions to serve special interests, we are not wise, we are fools.
What we need to do in the short term is what has been done before in varying degrees since the beginning of time. That is to punish the bad guys in the short term. Instill morals teachings by example and education to everyone in the long term.  Pray for wisdom and wise leadership to be instilled in both ourselves, our leaders, to hopefully benefit our communities.
There is nothing new under the sun.  In my opinion, the Bible has recorded all the examples of good and bad guys along and provided prudent advice how to use the two greatest blessings provided by our Creator. All we need to do is take the time to learn and make use of the two greatest blessings given us as tools given us and strive to make our world a better place. Wisdom and Love.
There will never be any solution if we do not wise up and continue to believe and listen to mere mortals that believe their secular wisdom is greater than Spiritual wisdom. In future posts, I will give two examples of wise gifted men who tried to solve all of God’s mysteries and became fools.
The fool is the one who relies on his intellect, but it is a man of wise conduct who escaped harm. (Proverb 28:26),
Regards and goodwill blogging.

King Solomon, Civility For Thee

Insightful post and commentary sorely needed to be read, shared, and discussed on the topic of civility to heal the political divide in our nation, in my opinion.
Perhaps we all need to revisit what George Washington copied at age sixteen?
Citizen Tom has a good post up called “Why Such Hatred For Donald Trump?”, that discusses the irrationality behind the Left’s visceral reaction to everything he does. CT essentially makes the argument that Trump is a master at pushing the emotional trigger buttons of his detractors, whose idolatry of things other than God (ego, intellect, being right etc…) trips them up.  I happen to agree with this.
As usual with a post from Citizen Tom it sparked some interesting conversation in the comments section.  Scatterwisdom kicked things off by bringing up the psychological angle of what motivates people to behave in such a way.  This shifted the conversation down some interesting avenues and all involved offered some insightful perspectives.
Scatterwisdom  also referenced one of my favorite cultural philosophers, Jonathan Haidt, who had this to say:
One thing that you find in most of the great wisdom traditions…
