Biden, Trump, Psychological Political Personalities?

Did the debate reveal the accuracy of the two political personalities?

The Chicago Tribune article, Trump Biden Spar in first faceoff, reported “Interruptions mark bitter debate as rivals press attacks.

The Purpose of This Post

Is to relate an ancient wisdom proverb and two contemporary personality profiles to what viewers of the debate witnessed.

King Solomon

Like clouds and wind without rain is one who boasts of gifts never given. (Proverbs 25:14)

What’s My Point?

What I witnessed was not what I hoped would have occurred. A debate focused on plans and issues to help voters decide what would be a more wise and less foolish course for our Nation for the next four years.

My point is after reading the psychologic political personalities of both candidates, the reports appear to be accurate and revealing of the two imperfect humans, same as every human ever born, we will choose to lead our Nation for another four years.

In My Opinion

What voters need to discern about the two candidates should be related to the above proverb rather than their personalities and promises.

For example, if we compare what President Trump has accomplished in his first term before the pandemic to his campaign promises, he has delivered on “his gifts. “to prove he is not another empty suit politician.

While I wish President Trump would conform more to the leadership style of ancient wisdom, what I believe he has accomplished and the fact that both candidates are humans with personality failings, based on the psychological personality reports.

Which candidate we choose will result in “more of the same” personalities or accomplishments?

“More of the same “is what the records of achievements were for both candidates, one with 47 years and another with 4 years of office.

You Decide

Which one will you choose in the coming election based on the above proverb rather that what you hope would be a perfect political personality ideal you envision to lead our Nation for another four years in the same world King Solomon observed 3000 years ago to have seen and witnessed?

Then I applied myself to the understanding of wisdom, and also of madness and folly, but I learned that this, too, is a chasing after the wind. (Ecclesiastes 1:17)

So, who should we pray and choose from the two candidates, based not on what we wish them to be, perfect humans, but on their accomplishments and course they chose for our Nation while in office during our times of human’s madness and folly, same as observed in history under the sun 3000 years ago?

King Solomon on Punishment for Fools

Who should pay to incarcerate criminals?
Illinois has not sued any prisoners for costs of their incarnation even though Illinois Law provides they may. Most cannot pay anyway, or the costs to sue are more burdensome than practical. The issue is controversial. In my opinion, with 3 million prisoners, and the loss of many industrial jobs to overseas sources, perhaps it is time to review the cost of imprisonment to taxpayers. This previous post of 6/3/2014 is a starting point to explore a series of future posts on this subject..

King Solomon, Donald Trump, Warren Buffet, Fair Trade Post Ten

MTE5NTU2MzE2MTY4Njg1MDY3

Why did Warren Buffet warn about the harmful effects of unbalanced trade?

In my previous post I stated I will explore the remedy proposed by Warren Buffet which was proposed to Congress in 2003. If Congress would have listened, approximately six trillion dollars would have remained in the USA.
King Solomon
The crown of wise men is their wealth, but the wreath of fools is their folly. (Proverb 14-24)
The proverb means that a righteous man’s wealth is a fitting wreath of adornment as a testament of his wisdom, whereas a fool wears a wreath of debt as a testament of his folly.
(In my opinion, Buffet wears a wreath of wealth and Congress wears a wreath of folly.)
Warren Buffet
I do not personally know him, but what I have read about him leads me to believe a righteous man of character who is more than capable to provide wise sound advice and counsel about economic matters based on reality rather than proven wrong failed theories.
If you are interested, check out this post which explains an overview of his remedy to balance trade HERE
Wishful Thinking and Thumb Sucking Theories
How much more proof is needed for thy Congress that the free trade economic theories they subscibed to approve trade agreements have decimated US manufacturing to outsourcing, reduced livable wages for many US workers, reduced job opportunities, restricted US dollars for investment, reduced tax revenues, and increased National Debt? In other words, the theories appeared good in theory but not in practice.
Warren Buffet stated this and I concur.
“Perhaps there are other solutions that make more sense than mine. However, wishful thinking–and its usual companion, thumb sucking–is not among them. From what I now see, action to halt the rapid outflow of our national wealth is called for, and ICs seem the least painful and most certain way to get the job done.”
In My Next Post
I will explore another proven failed theory that is being proposed by both Donald Trump and Ted Cruz to boost exports. I will explain why, in my opinion, it will not work…..again.

King Solomon, Donald Trump Fair Trade Post Nine (Repost)

What is  Donald Trump’s plan to balance trade?

In the previous post I stated I will explore first the Donald Trump Position on reforming the US-China trade relationship and offer my opinions and comments.
King Solomon
Without consultation, plans are frustrated. But with many counselors they succeed.. (Proverbs 15-22)
Without counsel purposes are disappointed. If a man determines and resolves upon a matter, and at once hastily and precipitately goes about it, without mature deliberation, without consulting with himself, and taking the advice of others in forming a scheme to bring about his designs, it generally comes to nothing; (Gils)

Resource Limitations
The US cannot resource at the drop of a hat. It will take years to rebuilt closed plants, replace machinery, and train workers to learn many of the lost skills and technology outsourced in the past twenty years. The result will be a spike in prices paid by US consumers for tariffed products. A black market will certainly crop up along with price gouging.
If tariffs are employed American Companies will not risk capital to invest in plants and equipment without long term guarantees that tariffs will not be lifted again. The result will be a repeat of foreign labor lower wage price competition will close them down, or bankrupt them again.
In My Opinion
There will be no quick fix with tariffs. A long term economic strategy needs to be planned and adhered to of what is in the best interests of American workers.
My Next Post
I will explore the remedy proposed by Warren Buffet.
