Pòlitical Bingo Conundrum?

Did two Chicago Tribune opinion columnists finally give the vital clues necessary to figure out who is responsible for spreading hatred rather than unity in the USA?

The Chicago Tribune articles titled:

Religion, Politics and Mark Curran contained this statement.

“Since 2007, there has been a remarkably sharp trend away from religion,”

Biden Closing in on Unity: Trump with Fury and Hate, contained this statement.

“He (Pope Francis) goes on to say that politics is something more noble than posturing, marketing and media spin. ‘These sow nothing but division, conflict and a bleak cynicism.’

The Purpose of This Post

Is to relate ancient proverb to discern about the question: who is responsible for spreading hate.

King Solomon

As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart. (Proverb 27:19)

Without wood a fire goes out; without a gossip a quarrel dies down. (proverb 26:20)

What’s My Point?

I read the Chicago Tribune every morning and believe both of these columnists have been bias toward President Trump from day one of his term.

My point is, as the above proverb gives advice for a person to look into a water or mirror and reflect what has been in their heart.

Both of these columnists have been lighting a fire by using news media to spread hatred of President Trump and his policies since day one of his election, in my opinion.

In My Opinion

In my blog post today titled: Voters Vexations? contained this statement.

“The truth is most voters rely on news media information which depends not on education, but on choices made by media owners’ guidance,

In other words, perhaps the reason for the hatred and lack of unity may be the result of both the decrease of religion in the USA.

Perhaps hatred is being initiated because the media bias and/or gossip being reported in the hearts of news columnists has been fueling the sad news we read every day in the news because of this following reason, in my opinion.

Perhaps religion is waning because Most parents can no longer afford to send their children to private religious schools and the result is religion is waning.

And perhaps that is the reason our Nation is becoming less unified and the results of waning religious values is what is vexing voters and fueling the acts of hatred I read being reported in the Chicago Tribune every day.

Mark Twain made this profound comment about news media

“if you don’t read the newspaper, you are uninformed; if you do read the newspaper, you are misinformed.”

You Decide

Would you agree with the statement made by the vexed comment?

“The more I read about America and the beliefs and values of Americans, the more I realize just how screwed up the country is,,,,,,,.

Would you agree that perhaps the reason why the comment was made should be blamed on religion, or the news media?

Would you agree that regardless of who wins the 2020 election, unity will never be achieved without the core religious belief of forgiveness in the mix to achieve unity? The same intention Abraham Lincoln used to remedy on the losing side of the Civil War?

Is this post a Bingo answer to the Conundrum question, or more foolish gossip to vex voters?

Surtax Who Conundrum?

Who could afford to pay a pandemic surtax?

In a previous post titled: Pandemic Surtax, I stated my opinion “Why is a surtax needed as an incentive to make wise prudent government and private citizen decisions to cope during the pandemic?

The Purpose of This Post

Is to relate an ancient proverb that would help solve this conundrum.

King Solomon

The wealth of the rich is their fortified city, but poverty is the ruin of the poor. (Proverb 10:15)

The poor plead for mercy,
but the rich answer harshly. (Proverb 18:23)

What’s My Point?

The pandemic is a harsh circumstance that has occurred and cannot be blamed on either the rich or the poor.

However, the rich are fortified with wealth for a longer period during harsh times such as this pandemic.

In another previous post titled: Politicians ears are shut from the cry’s; I related another proverb to consider as a clue to this conundrum.

Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor will also cry out. (Proverb 21:13)

My point is because this pandemic is both harsh and has created an unprecedent need on the poor because of government mandates to shut down the businesses they are employed, and 53 million Americans live on week to week paychecks, we need to listen to the cries of the poor.

In My Opinion

After reading a post forwarded to me, perhaps it will become not only a clue but a source where and who to surtax.

And the reason why is because of the urgent appeals I am listening to from charitable organizations who are crying out for more people to donate to help during the pandemic.

You Decide

Is it even more sad that the politicians who are elected to serve cannot seem to solve this simple conundrum or hear the cries of the poor during this harsh pandemic?

Is the conundrum so hard to solve because our Nation’s religious beliefs have waned over time because we no longer teach or practice the wisdom and love our founders believed when they founded our Nation?

King Solomon Blog, Tolerating Sexual Behaviors Clues?

What may be apparent simple clues to discern that a sexual choice of behavior may not be tolerable in the eyes of our Maker in a Nation founded on freedom of Rights.

The Purpose of This Post

To reveal clues, in my opinion which will easily help discern if a sexual choice may be deemed not favorable by our Maker and may result in His discipline.

King Solomon

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter. (Proverb 25:2)

Excerpts

he is the omniscient all wise God, and stands in no need of the advice of creatures; nor are they taken into his privy council.

but the honor of kings is to search out a matter; to investigate everything relating to civil government, and that may be of use to them in the exercise of it;

What’s My Point?

There is disagreement in the USA between religious and secular beliefs in regards to sexual behaviors.

When King Solomon wrote the above proverb, he understood the differences between his Maker and a King. In our contemporary times we have politicians instead of Kings who make decisions in regards to making laws and disciplines for various behaviors they believe should not be tolerated in our Nation.

King Solomon made a decision to tolerate religious beliefs of others in his Nation during his reign that the Bible states led him to lose favor with his God in this verse.

“The high places and foreign gods which Solomon tolerated led to his downfall and the splitting up of the kingdom.”

Ancient writings state that the other religious beliefs included sacrificing a live baby to their Gods.

How might we discern in a Nation of laws based on Rights what our Maker may consider as a discipline is the point of this post.

In My Opinion

The answer is simple to discern in my opinion.

Any choice of engaging in a sexual behavior that has a risk of obtaining a STD, sexual transmitted disease, HIV/AIDS or leads to a pregnancy that leads to an abortion should be a clue that their choice is not tolerable in the eyes of their Maker.

In ancient times, the belief in sacrificing a baby to appease or seek favors could be considered in our contemporary times similar to aborting a child to appease oneself rather than their Maker, in my opinion.

In other words, even though a political leader in the USA believes the choice to be a Right under the Constitution, is making the same mistake of toleration as King Solomon made, in my opinion.

You Decide

Will we make a similar choice of toleration that King Solomon made or will we search out a matter; to investigate everything relating to civil government, and that may be of use to them in the exercise of it;
