Globalism Economists Folly Unmasked, King Solomon Blog

Thanks to globalism selling politicians, we are not able to buy a N95 mask  for $1.35 in the USA when we need it the most.

Everyone should know or be reminded about the story how the USA outsourced manufacturing capacities that began on Dec 8, 1993 when Bill Clinton signed the NAFTA treaty despite the warnings that it will suck out millions of USA jobs and our Nation’s manufacturing capabilities.

Outsourcing manufacturing turned into an avalanche over time with some good effects for creating cheaper prices for non-essential items which buyers could wait 37 days for ships to transport. Yet it resulted in many former manufacturing workers to be paid less livable wages by stocking shelves in big box stores instead of skilled manufacturing wages.

The Purpose of This Post

Is to remind us to correct the problem of allowing manufacturing of 90 percent of medical supplies to be imported which sadly is the main reason why there is a shortage of PPE protective medical gear and N95 masks in the USA,

The result is thousands of lives have been impacted or lost or either medical personnel, elderly, and the general public along with a quarantine shutdown of the USA economy along with added trillions of dollars to our National Debt.

King Solomon

“It’s no good, it’s no good!” says the buyer– then goes off and boasts about the purchase. (Proverb 20:14)

What’s My Point?

Politicians have been listening to the warnings over the years by  thousands of critics about outsourcing manufacturing of critical items such as medical supplies and military equipment.

Globalism proponents brushed off their concerns with economic theories and arguments to result in politicians agreeing to globalism.

For example, when Obama was running for his first term in office, he promised to renegotiate trade agreements. I am assuming after listening to the globalism economists and by his record of making more trade agreements he decided their argument that the USA would thrive as a service economy and  manufacturing will never return to the USA.

My point is as the above proverb explains, buyers and sellers have been negotiating with each other to  obtain what they may at the time be the best deal for themselves for thousands of years..

Sadly though, the best deal to import lower cost critical protective (PPE) medical supplies and masks, and if there ever was a war, military parts, has not turned out to be the best value based on the trillions of dollars now being spent because of the pandemic.

Or as every professional purchasing agent is taught or learns from experience.

“Sometimes the cheapest price is not the best value over time.”

In My Opinion

If you read the articles below you will better understand how 3M, while increasing manufacturing of N95 masks by millions is still exporting to other countries the masks.

It is a humanitarian thing for 3M to do because globalism is a two-way commitment and Canada needs the masks just a badly as the USA.

In previous posts I also explained what everyone with manufacturing experience knows. That we cannot build 4.1-million-dollar machinery in a week, or month, and even years. Especially if the machinery has to be built in Germany because the USA no longer has the trained machinists, technical expertise, and machinery to make the machines that make the masks.

Hopefully, this sad experience will sadly serve to remind our politicians of the consequences of outsourcing 90 percent of medical supplies was not the best deal or value for the USA.

You Decide

Was globalism of 90 percent of USA medical supplies and a service economy  a wise or foolish economic theory?

Would it be better if the USA had stocked billions of masks, or would it have been far better and more efficient and economical to have the capability to manufacture billions of masks if the manufacturing machinery was available in the USA?

For example, in a previous post I explained how Illinois paid millions of dollars and who know what exorbitant price to fly in N95 masks because of the pandemic. Hopefully the masks obtained were  not counterfeit or inferior masks as I explained in previous posts.

In your experience, have you ever bought any item because it was cheaper than a brand name? Then regretted it later for some reason because over time it turned out not to be the best deal that you, or the same as the proverbial buyer boasted 3000 years ago to someone about the great deal he purchased or negotiated?

King Solomon, CNN, BuzzFeed (Repost)

323751-buzzfeed-cnn

Are these two sources of journalism or gossip?
Purpose of This Reposting This Post
Appears nothing has changed at Buzzfeed since my previous post of 1/13/17 based on the latest foolish news reports of President Trump instructing Cohan to lie. Sad.

If the civic purpose of journalism is to provide people with the information they need to be free and self-governing, should political malicious news gossip be reported by journalists?
Journalism Definition
the activity or profession of writing for newspapers, magazines, or news websites or preparing news to be broadcast.
Gossip Definition
casual or unconstrained conversation or reports about other people, typically involving details that are not confirmed as being true
Froward Definition
(of a person) difficult to deal with; contrary.
King Solomon
A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.
He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;
Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.
Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.
These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. (Proverbs 6:12-19 KJV)
CNN
“You don’t have to watch CNN for too long to know that Chris Cuomo, Dana Bash, Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer, Don Lemon and other CNN news anchors are Democrats, and guess what! That’s a problem because CNN is a news organization not a late-night show.” (Source HERE)
BuzzFeed
Is an independent newsfeed digital media company, In it’s About Page, Buzzfeed does not state it is a source of journalism, (Source HERE)
In other words, readers should not consider what they read in BuzzFeed is verifiable news journalism. It may be fake news , falsehoods, gossip, or personal opinions written by a froward source.
In My Opinion
There is a vast world of difference between journalism and gossip sources.
Any source that portends news, yet claims to be a news source of journalism, destroys their reputation to provide a civic duty and obligation to provide people with the information they need to be free and self-governing.
Spreading malicious gossip is immoral.
If perhaps CNN purposely linked their journalism news report to increase readership of the BuzzFeed malicious gossip article the day before President Elect Donald Trump’s first major press conference, it was immoral journalism.
The foundation of Wisdom is truth, malicious gossip is folly spread by froward writers or news media.
You decide.
Regards and goodwill blogging.

King Solomon, Voters, Guard Your Heart…

images (37)
…when you vote, and consider this proverb of wisdom.
King Solomon
Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth And put devious speech far from you.  (Proverb 4-24)
In ancient times the heart and belly was considered the place where words were stored instead of the mind. The proverb implies a metaphor for you to compare a liar   same a polluter who fouls a spring of water you drink. The proverbial advice is to repulse them to prevent your water and heart from being polluted by their lies.
You Decide
As a voter, which candidate you believe will pollute your mind, and/or nation’s springs of life.
Hillary Clinton
If you are a voter and want to identify with Hillary Clinton solely because she is a woman, it is your choice and decision. If you believe she will do what she promises, that too is your decision.
However, if you perhaps believe she is a liar, why would anyone want to identify with her, or believe she will do what she promises?
Donald Trump
A fellow blogger, CitizenTom.com, wrote this excerpt statement in his post titled, Time to Gang Up on Trump.
“What is the problem? Donald Trump has a nasty habit of saying things that offend people.  What is peculiar, however, is that folks are offended the most when Trump says stuff that is perfectly true.”

King Solomon, Trump or Clinton , Which One’s Political Policies Will…….

download-3
bring about the same political results to the USA as King Solomon’s did to Israel?
King Solomon
What has been will be again,
what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 1:9)
In My Opinion
All we have to do is read or listen to the news about the USA election and compare the circumstances of 3000 years ago and the truth of Solomon’s above statement is substantiated.
I challenge you to read this article and compare Solomon’s reign to today’s election issues and decide if you agree. I only hope and pray that the same results will not be the same.
As you read the article, I also challenge you to identify current political ideologies and terminologies we now use such as statists, secularism, conservatism, liberalism, intellectualism, elitism, etc.
Solomon as a Political Leader HERE
Near the end of his life he wrote his Ecclesiastes after he realized how he wasted his life chasing after the wind.
When will we wise up and stop repeating the follies of past generations?  We can start by following the advice in the Conclusion of Ecclesiastes.

The Conclusion of the Matter (Chapter 12)

Not only was the Teacher wise, but he also imparted knowledge to the people. He pondered and searched out and set in order many proverbs.10 The Teacher searched to find just the right words, and what he wrote was upright and true.
11 The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails—given by one shepherd.[b] 12 Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them.
Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body.
13 Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the duty of all mankind.
14 For God will bring every deed into judgment,
including every hidden thing,
whether it is good or evil.
