Helplessness vs. Constructiveness Wisdom? King Solomon Blog

Interested in a news reality how teaching religion and psychology help us to overcome helplessness to be constructive in life for ourselves, families, communities, and Nation?

The pandemic has certainly promoted psychological effects of helplessness in the lives of the 53 percent of people who live from week to week wages and lost their jobs because they work in businesses that government has quartered or prevented from operating to prevent the spread of the virus.

The Chicago Tribune article today report huge increases in the sale of legal recreational marijuana in Illinois, along with increase in criminal violence, shootings, etc. etc.

And because very few people arrested are tested for drugs, no one knows if the persons actions were because they were being fueled by drugs to engage in criminal or foolish actions.

The Purpose of This Post

Is to relate ancient wisdom proverbs that most people have never been taught in public schools which if Proverbs had been taught would have, in my opinion, provided constructive guidance to prevent or reduce destructive feelings of helplessness that is fueling crime, violence, and drug use in our Nation.

King Solomon

Open your mouth for the mute,

For the rights of all the unfortunate.

Open your mouth, judge righteously,

And defend the rights of the afflicted and needy. (Proverbs 31:8-9)

Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well. (Ecclesiastes 11:6)

What’s My Point?

In a Blog Post yesterday I stated Congress is playing games with another economic stimulus for the poor and helpless, in my opinion, to win the 2020 election.

My point is if perhaps the above Wisdom and Love verses were taught to children, the phones in Congress would be ringing loud and clear for the political power games to end.

In My Opinion

If the government decides to shut down a business it should provide a reasonable means to help subsidize the helpless 53 percent living week to week.

Instead of borrowing the funds, it should place a pandemic tax during the pandemic to help those in need because of government shutdowns.

And in my opinion, if religion is taught, there would be a lot more people willing to speak out for the unfortunate in our Nation, and working to get rid of politicians playing games to hold up immediate aid in order to pass a package of aid to win an election.

Biden, Trump, Psychological Political Personalities?

Did the debate reveal the accuracy of the two political personalities?

The Chicago Tribune article, Trump Biden Spar in first faceoff, reported “Interruptions mark bitter debate as rivals press attacks.

The Purpose of This Post

Is to relate an ancient wisdom proverb and two contemporary personality profiles to what viewers of the debate witnessed.

King Solomon

Like clouds and wind without rain is one who boasts of gifts never given. (Proverbs 25:14)

What’s My Point?

What I witnessed was not what I hoped would have occurred. A debate focused on plans and issues to help voters decide what would be a more wise and less foolish course for our Nation for the next four years.

My point is after reading the psychologic political personalities of both candidates, the reports appear to be accurate and revealing of the two imperfect humans, same as every human ever born, we will choose to lead our Nation for another four years.

In My Opinion

What voters need to discern about the two candidates should be related to the above proverb rather than their personalities and promises.

For example, if we compare what President Trump has accomplished in his first term before the pandemic to his campaign promises, he has delivered on “his gifts. “to prove he is not another empty suit politician.

While I wish President Trump would conform more to the leadership style of ancient wisdom, what I believe he has accomplished and the fact that both candidates are humans with personality failings, based on the psychological personality reports.

Which candidate we choose will result in “more of the same” personalities or accomplishments?

“More of the same “is what the records of achievements were for both candidates, one with 47 years and another with 4 years of office.

You Decide

Which one will you choose in the coming election based on the above proverb rather that what you hope would be a perfect political personality ideal you envision to lead our Nation for another four years in the same world King Solomon observed 3000 years ago to have seen and witnessed?

Then I applied myself to the understanding of wisdom, and also of madness and folly, but I learned that this, too, is a chasing after the wind. (Ecclesiastes 1:17)

So, who should we pray and choose from the two candidates, based not on what we wish them to be, perfect humans, but on their accomplishments and course they chose for our Nation while in office during our times of human’s madness and folly, same as observed in history under the sun 3000 years ago?

King Solomon, “I’m Just a Girl”

Is this comment an indication of a girl’s attitude of unfairness in life of yin or yang,  or perhaps a clue to her state of  spirituality?
