King Solomon, Survival of the Fittest, or Foolish, in the USA? Part One

Have we USA Citizens evolved to be the Wisest, or most Foolish people, in the history of mankind?
Charles Darwin ( 1809 – 1882)
Charles Darwin presented the theory of evolution which bore scientific evidence of how animals evolved over time. It created significant controversy by theologians and philosophers questioning if man evolved over time, same as animals.
King Solomon (1000 BC)
King Solomon was renowned in the Bible to have been blessed with Wisdom and was considered the wisest man in the world, and, perhaps the earliest philosopher recorded in history. His writings of practical and Spiritual Wisdom are still both relevant, and controversial today in our modern world.
Purpose of this Series of Posts
I propose to present a theory for you to decide if we USA citizens have evolved to be both the fittest physically, yet the most foolish generation in history.
I will use the present topic being debated in Government about the controversy in the USA, repeal of Obamacare. It will be used as an example of how the best virtuous intentions may have evolved as an incentive to promote folly of behavior by USA citizens.
Virtue vs. Folly Question
Providing care and love to the sick is a moral and charitable virtue.
However, it can also contribute to provide incentives to promote vice or virtue, moral or dishonorable, healthy or unhealthy. actions pf wisdom or folly, in the lives of USA citizens.
The question I will present for you to decide, using the example of Obamacare, is, or was Obamacare a charitable and virtuous Bill, or did it present evidence that it promoted wisdom, or folly, by Government for the citizens in the USA?
Did Obamacare promote the “survival of the fittest “ or “survival of the foolish?”
In a Previous Post,
I expressed my opinions why we should only judge people with the two words used by King Solomon to judge his subjects. If interested, read the post and perhaps it will warm you to King Solomon’s theories about how various adjectives that have evolved over time to skew the meanings of the words wisdom and folly.
Regards and goodwill blogging.

King Solomon, Chicago Violence, Drug Folly, Pogo, Post Seven
Would King Solomon consider the use of recreational drugs to be folly?
About This Post
The Chicago Tribune has recorded the number of shootings and victims in Chicago beginning January 1, 2017. As of January 30, there have been 302 shootings. I have no other information about the incidents other than what was reported. The purpose of this post, is to hopefully promote a meaningful conversation by our legislators to obtain solutions and begin to teach moral wisdom in our schools to find an immediate and long term solution to promote the general welfare of our city, state, and nation.
There is no single cause or solution for the violence. This post will focus on how recreational drugs promotes gang violence and is folly for drug users.
King Solomon
I thought deeply about the effects of indulging myself with wine (all the while my mind was guiding me with wisdom) and the effects of behaving foolishly, so that I might discover what is profitable for people to do on earth during the few days of their lives. (Ecclesiastes 2:3)
She is more precious than jewels; And nothing you desire compares with her. Longlife is in her right hand; In her left hand are riches and honor. (Proverbs 3:15-16)
Solomon’s message is we only have a limited time of days in our life. One reward of making use of wisdom is to achieve long life on one hand and riches and honor on the other hand.
In the Sources below are three articles that compare how much time a person subtracts “during the few days in their lives” by using drugs and other substances. Check them out and you decide if recreational drugs are worth the price of living less time in your life.
Who to Blame for Gang Violence?
As in water face reflects face, So the heart of man reflects man. (Proverb 27:19)
Anyone who buys drugs from a gang source is an accessory helping to promote gang violence. If you live in a high crime area and buy and use recreational drugs, you need to look in the mirror and into your heart. There you will see the reflection of who is helping to promote gang violence. The question for your heart will be, do you feel guilt for being an accessory to gang violence.
In My Opinion
I believe President Trump should not bother to send in the Fed’s to put an end to Chicago Violence. Our nation needs to stop being depended on the Federal Government to solve all our problems.
Instead, he should, in a Presidential Address to the Nation, ask every American citizen to look into a pool, or a mirror, and into their own hearts, and accept responsibility for their folly of being accessories to Chicago violence, gang murders, and shortening their own lives by indulging in recreational drugs.
He should point his finger at every legislator who voted to approve the lawful use of recreational drugs in their communities. By approving drugs, they bear responsibility for every highway death caused by a driver impaired using a recreational drug, and every life that will be shortened by drug use.
He should also point his finger at every community organizer of protest marches who complains about the failure of their government to maintain order in their community. He should advise them, instead of complaining and pointing fingers at government, they should point their fingers at the members of their community who buy recreational drugs from gangs, and by doing so, promote gang violence and incentives to the youth in their communities to become fools for gangs.
He should also include every Hollywood movie star, and movie producer who participate in filming a movie to glamorize the use of recreational drugs.
He should ask Congress to pass a law to make every holder of a medial license issued by the FAA, to provide daily free public address time for the CDC to broadcast the truth about how use of recreational drugs reduces their lifespans. How HIV/ AIDs is transmitted and the consequences of unprotected sex.
What does Pogo Have to do with Recreational Drug Use?
I was inspired to write this post by Walt Kelly’s cartoon character Pogo and his wise saying, In my opinion Pogo’s saying explains the crux truth of who is responsible for gang violence, the drug scourge in our nation, and the contribution to ruination of uncountable lives of recreational drug users.
“We have met the enemy and he is us.”
You Decide
Would King Solomon consider the use of recreational drugs to be folly base on his proverbial wisdom?
Would you agree with this wise saying?
‘The Lord Helps Those Who Help Themselves.”
Would you give this King Solomon advice to your son or daughter?
My son, if evil men tempt you, do not give in to them! They might say, ‘Come with us! We shall attack an innocent man. We shall destroy him. We will be as cruel as hell to that man. We shall take his riches. His wealth will belong to us. Join us! We shall share everything.’(Ecclesiastes 3:10-14)

King Solomon, Causes of Disasters (u/d)

Something to think about this election?
We read or hear about terrible human casualties caused by natural disasters, wars, terrorist attacks, or travel mishaps. Every once in a while, a religious leader makes a statement that the reason for the disaster was that God willed the disaster to happen because of the sins of man.
Victims may lose faith in their God for allowing both evil acts and natural disasters to fall upon them even though they have always followed a path of righteous in their lives. The wise King Solomon believed that many causes or curses may be more related to man’s foolish choices.
For a definition listing of Anthropogenic, as well as opposing effects of natural hazards that cause natural disasters. see HERE.
I surmised in a novel a brief excerpt of what King Solomon may have explained, based on his proverbs, to the Queen of Sheba to consider about evil and disasters. The novel is a contemporary application of a story form to promote understanding of proverbs and ancient wise sayings in relation to our modern times.
Excerpt
“Men make free choices that will affect their health or subject them to the risks of harm from nature, weather, or man-made disasters. For example, we have beliefs and strict rules of diet for purposes of sacrifice along with cleanliness to prevent sickness in our community. Someday, we may come to know more about the cause of sickness if we study the nature created by Yahweh.”
“If a man chooses to sail into a storm, he may bring harm upon himself by engaging in a greater risk of sinking rather than embarking in good weather.”
“If a man chooses to build his house on land known to shake, he risks harm by living in a house that may someday collapse on him.”
“Men start all wars and bring harm and suffering upon themselves because of war. The cause of war is the same as a pregnancy. A pregnancy will not occur if there is no intercourse same as a war will not occur if there is no discourse initiated between men.”
Bilqis smiled in recognition of my point of comparison.
“Bilqis, my belief is that whatever plans a man may make, he will not accomplish his plan without God ordering his steps. I choose to believe that Yahweh sent us The Goddess of Wisdom to help us make wise choices to help us prevent bringing harm upon ourselves and to aid us to create a better life in accordance to his plan. In other words, Yahweh has a reason for allowing every step man takes whether their step results in either a good or evil act.” A man plans his way, but Yahweh orders his step. (Proverb 16:9)
“To summarize what I have just stated of my beliefs to you is this. The reason why Yahweh allows evil to exist is a mystery. Yahweh has made a plan or reason for every happening on earth, whether it is good or evil, wind or weather, or his reasoning for allowing men to make wise or foolish choices.”
“Think of a good man being a wandering bird in flight. No undeserved curse will come to a wandering bird in flight unless there is a reason or cause for it to land.” As a sparrow on the wing and a swallow in flight, so is an unmerited curse, which does not alight. (Proverb 26:2)
