Catholic Voter Guides, Abortion, School Choice? King Solomon Blog

Should a Catholic in good conscious vote for a candidate who supports taxpayer funded abortions and supports the issue that Catholics must pay two tuitions, one for public schools and one for private religious schools?

I read a Citizen Tom Blog about his State and passing laws to fund abortion and various voter guides for families.

The Purpose of This Post

Is to relate an ancient proverb to the question facing Catholics on the issue of abortion when a candidate supports the issue of tax payer funding of abortion in their State in the near future if Democrat candidates win the 2020 Presidential Election.

King Solomon

9Now the LORD grew angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned away from the LORD, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice. 10Although He had warned Solomon explicitly not to follow other gods, Solomon did not keep the LORD’s command. (Kings 11:10)

What’s My Point?

Those familiar with the story of King Solomon know that Solomon’s downfall was the result of his belief he was as wise as his Maker and decided to worship idols in spite of his religious commandments.

There are various definitions of an idol. For example, a Biblical definition is:

 4. Anything on which we set our affections; that to which we indulge an excessive and sinful attachment.

I read a couple of Catholic voter guides that give advice for  Catholics to discern all the broad issues in the election and then “vote their conscious.”

While many of the issues imply the Republican Party supports  racism and is anti -immigration which  may or may not be true based on what news media sources  we choose to listen and believe are true or false.

However, Catholics or any other faiths must discern based on their individual consciences whether they believe two issues.

1.Using their tax funds to fund abortion.

2. Using their taxes and personal finances to fund both pubic secular education by having to pay tuition to fund sending their children to a private religious school to be taught in depth the religious values.

Most people are not aware that this year the Supreme Court ruled that it was unconstitutional for States to pass laws that made it unlawful to use public funds for private schools’ tuitions. Or in other words to end bigotry against Catholics which has existed since the end of the civil war.

States like Florida now allow funding for private schools for children and families unable to afford paying tuition to send their children to private religious schools of their choice.

While Love for fellow living humans is a basic Catholic issue about concerns about racism and immigration, Wisdom should also be considered based on the message of the Bible based on both Love and Wisdom.

My point is on the issue of being a party by voting for a candidate or party fund a sinful abortion listed on the Democrat Party Platform, can be interpreted as repeating the same folly of King Solomon.

Folly of believing they are a wise as their Maker and discern they are capable of discernment to believe they should kneel before other idols or issues that are sinful in the eyes of their Maker.

And on the issue of school choice, only the Republican Party supports school choice. And why is it being fair to any religious family to have to pay two tuitions. Two tuitions for the term of sending their children to private religious schools doting their school years and one more tuition to fund public only schools using their taxes for the rest of every taxpayer’s life?

In My Opinion

There is another King Solomon verse written in Ecclesiastes, when King Solomon realized the folly of the path he took in his life. Or the folly of believing he was as wise as his maker.

For Example

Thus, I considered all my activities which my hands had done and the labor which I had exerted, and behold all was vanity and striving after wind and there was no profit under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 2:11)

Anyone who is among the living has hope –even a live dog is better off than a dead lion! (Ecclesiastes 9:4)

In other words, in my opinion, on the issue of abortion, vote for hope for the living and the future, not for idols or issues based on vanity issues that over time may change one way or another way same the issues that “blow around in the wind.”.

And on the issue of school choice, only the Republicans support school choice on their party platform.

You Decide

Is the motto of this blog stimulate your conscious on the issue of voting for a candidate who believes they are wiser than their Maker and will support abortion funding of your taxes to kill hope?

Motto of This Blog, “What the World Needs Now in Addition to Love is Wisdom.”

King Solomon, Lowest Abortion Update

th (26)

Who has the fewest abortions and why?
The CDC, Center for USA Disease Control just reported the lowest abortion rate in the USA since 1971, two years prior to Roe vs Wade Supreme Court Decision.
If you read through the report on the various groups of the CDC detailed findings of reasons listed for the abortions, you will find that the lowest percentage of women that had abortions can be related to a King Solomon Song Verse, and, to an Ancient Wise Woman’s Advice for both men and women.
Yes, there are also  reasons why modern medicine has reduced abortions.    Perhaps though, the advice of these two ancient wisdom writings might significantly help reduce the a nearly one million yearly other than medical reasons why abortions take place in the USA.
  1. King Solomon Ancient Song Verses (Chapter Three)
5.Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you
by the gazelles and by the does of the field:
Do not arouse or awaken love
    until it (marriage) so desires.
  1. Ancient Wise Woman’s Advice
“Intercourse brings on lactation.”
CDC Detailed Finding
About 15 percent of women who obtained an abortion were married.
Question to Discern
If the other 85 percent of women who had abortions were married, would the USA abortion rate be even lower?
You decide.
