Would you agee to a wise right, just, and fair interim solution for our military personnel during the Government Shutdown?
The Government shutdown will cause our military troops paychecks to be withheld until Congress agrees on a short or longtime spending budget.
Since members of Congress will still be paid in spite of the Government shutdown, I believe it would be wise, fair, and equitable for an interim Bill be passed by Congress.
What Bill?
Congress should propose a Interim Budget Bill to allow our military personnel to be paid until a long term budget resolution is passed?
Let’s face it, the military will be paid sometime, why make them borrow money to make ends meet in the interim?
Wise legislation can be taught with wise example. If Congress wants to lead by example to teach the people they represent to live disciplined and successful lives, they need to be examples themselves, of what is right, just, and fair.
King Solomon
Their purpose is to teach people to live disciplined and successful lives, to help them do what is right, just, and fair. (Proverb 1:3)
In My Opinion
It is folly, and a travesty, for Congress to be paid while at the same time, the military is not paid.
The military should be given the same opportunity to be an example of right, just, and fair treatment as Congress displays how they live disciplined and successful lives.
You Decide
Who would you choose to be more deserving of a paycheck during the Government Shutdown, Congress or the Military?
Regards and goodwill blogging.
