King Solomon, Are Americans Fair to Muslims…or, (Post Five)

are Muslims fair to Americans? Is Islam a religion of peace?

In my previous post, I stated I will explore whether we Americans, and/or any religious community, are mean, bigoted, or unfair to Muslims or any other immigrants for that matter, in spite of the teachings in our schools, laws, or faiths? Do we graciously welcome everyone into our Country, Church, community, or our homes?  If not, why not?

American Religious Fairness to Muslims
There is no other country in the world that accepts more legal immigrants, one million a year than the United States.
While everyone should realize that it is not fair to judge all Muslims for the actions of a few, but then who is at fault or blame for terrorism? Until an answer is found to end terrorism in the USA, Americans will always be wary and/or distrustful of Muslims in the United States. In my opinion, Americans have been fair to the four to seven million legal Muslims now living in the USA in regards to their religious beliefs in accordance to the First Amendment of the Constitution.
American Religious Welcome and Graciousness
I find it hard to believe why any religious order would not welcome or be gracious to anyone into their fold, especially today, because of growing secularism and falling numbers of attendance in many places of worship.  In fact, most religions are the biggest supporters of immigrants.
Why Have Americans Welcomed Immigrants?
There are various reasons why. The main initial reason was a lawful hard working immigrant WAS needed to help grow the American economy.  Hard working peopleWERE needed to work in factories and create small business which expand and profit US business.  That was until our Congress allowed US companies to mass outsource US manufacturing to other countries in a mistaken economic belief that a service economy was more beneficial than a manufacturing economy.
The reason I state WAS and WERE is because today’s immigrants now compete with American job seekers. There is an ongoing political controversy of whether immigrants are contributing to the American economy or are an unneeded expense.
Another reason for expanded immigration was to grow the population and by doing so, it would serve to expand the economy. More working people meant more consumers to buy products and services.
Unfortunately, the travesty in the USA is while we allow one million immigrants into the USA, is because we abort (kill) one million Americans babies every year.
Another travesty is fewer job opportunities and unlivable job wages are contributing to questioning the need for continuing the present immigration political policies of allowing one million immigrants a year to become legal citizens.
American Cultural Diversity
America is the most cultural diverse country the world. Up to now, this inspirational poem contributed to diversity.
Give me your tired, your poor,  Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,  The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.  Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:  I lift my lamp beside the golden door.”  Emma Lazarus (July 22, 1849 – November 19, 1887)
Change
Because Americans agreed with this inspirational poem in the past does not mean that it will never change.
Because things are the way they are, things will not stay the way they are. Bertold Brecht
Unfortunately, because of the exodus of millions of manufacturing jobs from the USA and the advances of high production machinery, there no longer the same need for immigrants in factories. And there would probably not be a need for high skilled immigrants if Congress had not done away with technical school training tax incentives for manufacturing job training, or the cost of medical schooling would not be so expense to obtain in comparison to foreign countries.
Today there is a political controversy about millions of illegal immigrants crossing borders or overstaying visas. The controversy extends not only in to undocumented unlawfulness but into a controversy of breakdown in national security and cost burdens to taxpayers. While pro immigrants argue immigrants add to the economy, anti immigration supporters argue the opposite. Today there are 41.3 foreign born legal citizens in the USA and 80 million American born children of these immigrants.
As for the cost to Americans for the Department of Homeland Security organized after 9/11, the 2016 budget is 65 billion dollars a year. I am uncertain if that includes added fares airline travelers pay as a fee for security in addition to income and sales taxes.
King Solomon
Who is responsible and what is the answer to solve the problem of Muslim terrorists? Until an answer is found, in my opinion, we need consider these Proverbs.
An evil man seeks only disruption, but a cruel messenger shall be sent against him. (Proverb 17:11)
The evil man who is bent on faction and sedition and who strikes at the roots of the community of which he is a member will come to a bad end. (Proverbs Mc Kane)
Proverbs 22:10 (MSG) Kick out the troublemakers and things will quiet down; you need a break from bickering and griping!
In My Next Post
I will explore the differences in the Bible versus the Quran in regards to the questions,  are Muslims fair to Americans, and is Islam a religion of peace?
