King Solomon, Vote for the Biggest Loser

What?

The contest has begun for the next President of the USA in 2016. Do we want a winner or a loser to lead us for the next four years?

King Solomon Bible Kings 9-14.
9 So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?” 10 The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this. 11 So God said to him, “Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, 12 I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be. 13 Moreover, I will give you what you have not asked for-both riches and honor-so that in your lifetime you will have no equal among kings. 14 And if you walk in my ways and obey my statutes and commands as David your father did, I will give you a long life.”

A fellow blogger wrote an excellent post titled, What is the Law of the Land –Part 4? The post included a reference to the Bible (Timothy 3-1- 7) Verses about the question of what is an ideal church leader. Citizen Tom’s point was we should consider a high character bar for the political candidate we choose when we vote. (Source Below.)
I agreed and commented why we should vote for a loser instead of a winner with this statement to Citizen Tom.
My Comment
Timothy set a high bar for leaders.
What happened since then might be answered by thinking about a limbo contest. In my opinion, many of our leaders could qualify as being champion limbo contest winners based on some of their performances while in public office.
In case you are not familiar with a limbo contest, the winner politician is the one who can squirm or wiggle under the lowest bar and not fall back. In other words,  get caught in an unlawful personal scam, or representing his campaign donors interests instead of the best interests of our nation and the people who voted for him.
What is My Point?
When we listen to the news and debates, in my opinion, we need to consider which candidate has the highest bar of character and ability to discern what is right and just for all of our people and our nation, and not what is in the best interests of his or hers largest campaign contributor.
In other words vote for the biggest loser of a limbo contest when you consider the height of their character bar and discernment capabilities.
