…daughter about two-way love in marriage indeed precious?
I read a blog post today written by a single young woman’s personal perspectives living in New York and the advice given her by her mother.
“And to be honest, that is the message I’ve grown up hearing. My mother — powerhouse wisdom giver — has always instilled in me, that the number one job of a spouse in a marriage, is to get the other person to Heaven.”
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate the mother’s advice to King Solomon wisdom proverbs.
King Solomon
Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. (Proverb 1:8)
She (Wisdom) is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. (Proverb 3:15)
What’s My Point?
If you discern and reflect on her mother’s advice in relation to marriage being a two-way partner role in life for both parents and children, it is a precious gem of advice.
In My Opinion
The young woman’s mother is indeed wise and her teaching given to her daughter to desire in a married life is more precious than rubies.
