Pets to Obtain Wiser State Protection than Humans in ...?https://rudymartinka.com/2021/03/16/pets-to-obtain-wiser-state-protection-than-humans-in-king-solomon-blog/

Interested in actual proof of the folly of Illinois State legislators being more concerned about the “social equity” and safety of pets than humans?

The Chicago Tribune article titled: New cannabis stores, marijuana tours, and protecting pets from pot on Illinois legislative agenda, but social equity remains a big issue, reported this statement:

“And one measure provides that no one may knowingly allow an animal to ingest cannabis, including secondhand smoke, in a way that results in the animal’s sickness or death.”

The Purpose of This Post

Is to relate and ancient verse, an idiom, for interested readers to decide if Illinois is ………?

King Solomon

And I turned myself to behold wisdom, and madness, and folly: for what can the man do that cometh after the king? even that which hath been already done. (Ecclesiastes 2:12)

What’s My Point?

If we discern the Chicago Tribune article, and the verse that about madness and folly, hath been done” it should be no surprise that even in ancient times, humans revered their pets and provided for the social equity or status more than humans.

For example, in ancient Egypt, mummified pets have been found in abundance in tombs which Egyptians believed would accompany them into a second life. As for the slaves or workers who built the tombs, the fact that they were not mummified tells us something about social equity in ancient Egypt.

My point is in our conventional times, our legislators seem to have similar regard for pets as in ancient times if we discern that Illinois legislators want to protect pets from the scientist proof that recreational marijuana may harm the pet, but not the humans?

In other words, if Marijuana will harm pets, why were Illinois legislators not concerned it would harm humans?

In My Opinion

This article reminded me of an idiom which describes where Illinois and the USA legislators have set their path to lead us to “Go to the Dogs”

You Decide

Should we take a moment to consider what readers in the future will discern in history about the madness and folly of the issues that legislators led us on paths we are taking  in our conventional times in the USA and World?
