I
s saying no to children because recreational pot poses health risks the best answer for parents to teach their children or…?
The Chicago Tribune article titled: Is just say no a no-go? How to talk to kids about pot., reported reasons why although pot is legal does not make it safe, especially for under 21 and actually up to 24 years of age according to medical studies.
King Solomon
Listen, my sons, to a father’s instruction; pay attention and gain understanding. (Proverb 4:1)
Long life is in her (Wisdom’s) right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. (Proverb 3:16)
Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness. (Proverb 16:31)
What’s My Point?
Kudos to the Chicago Tribune for reporting advice to readers even though other news articles report the first day long lines of pot heads elated about the legalization of recreational pot.
In My Opinion
However, a better reason or lesson to teach children that even though something is legal does not make it safe, would be to because it is not wise, it is foolish.
A lesson to make children aware that they will need to discern many, many times in life, the differences of wise or foolish choices.
And even though peers, news media, political leaders say or do things that can lead them to engage in folly in life.
King Solomon only used two words to explain the choice everyone will make in throughout their limited time spans in life, wise or foolish.
In other words, if you want to live a long full healthy and joyous life to fulfill all the blessings of life bestowed by your Creator, discern first to strive to make only wise choices.
Seek counsel from wise not foolish peers, including news media, and politicians.
“Seek and you shall find: is a wise Bible verse to consider.”
A good place to seek is the Bible. In my opinion.

You Decide
Wise or foolish is more relevant advice for children to understand than legal is not mean it is safe?
How many of the same people you now see waiting in line in the new media to buy recreational marijuana 50 years, or attain grey hairs is the message of Solomon’s proverbial wisdom?
How many will have achieved richness in their lives compared to those who spend their money wisely in order to live longer, healthier, and more comfortable when they reach the time, they have grey hairs, is what you should counsel and teach your children?
If you still don’t believe me, should you simply ask your family doctor his opinion about the wisdom and folly of choosing to indulge in the use and folly of recreational marijuana?
Regards and goodwill blogging.
