The Purpose of This Post
Is to convey what information a wise concerned responsible news source should really be reporting about the use of recreational marijuana to its readers and Illinois residents instead of locations, potential shortages, licenses, etc. etc.

Instead of reporting selling locations and available concerns to readers and community that the Chicago Tribune supposedly serves, they should report the detrimental health risks of the use of recreational marijuana.
For example,
According to the CDC, Center for Disease Control of the USA, here is a directory of health warnings of their professional medical findings and the advice of every doctor that readers should be aware. If only they would seek to ask before they foolishly starting ingesting a well know adverse drug into their limited lifespan human bodies.

In My Opinion,
Just because Illinois Legislators approved the sale of recreational marijuana in communities that have no reservations in sales location, does not mean the law is wise.
In the USA, everyone has freedom of choice to buy and inject any poison available for sale and ingest into their human bodies, even if it will contribute to their earlier than normal lifespans. There are exceptions for certain prescription drugs such as opium products. However, fools allow themselves to become addicted by their own volition by buying poisons from criminal sources.
It is community wise to distinguish between the legal sale of some drugs and not others because frankly, when a drug addict becomes desperate in need of medical help both physical and mental, they don’t ask the criminals to help pay for the medical bills, they wind up being subsidized by taxpayers or higher private insurance premiums paid in insurance pools even though people never use illegal drugs, or are wise and not fools.
As for the sale of medical marijuana for someone in horrible pain and or approaching the end of their normal lifespan, I surmise King Solomon whould not consider the use of medical marijuana as folly based on this proverb.
Give alcohol to a man who is going to die, and wine to those who are sad, that they may drink and forget their poverty, and remember their misery no more. (Proverbs 31:6, 7)
My point of this post is mainly directed to the Chicago Tribune and every other news source and legislator who makes no effort to warn people of the detrimental effects. For example, the subject news report gave information where to purchase and inserted opines of potential shortages to potential buyers, but made no mention of the health hazards they will incur based on the proven medical studies and advice of the CDC.
In My Opinion
The Chicago Tribune and every other media source should include medical warnings with ever reporting of recreational marijuana as not only a public service but a moral obligation for the welfare of their readers.
Frankly, if someone disregards the medical warnings, they do not understand the folly of the above wise proverbial advice of how “Wisdom holds in her right-hand long life, are in her left-hand riches and honor.”
For example, as explained above, the CDC knows the health hazards will increase risks to reduce normal life spans, and people who pay money for recreational marijuana instead of investing their money to enjoy life during and after retirement are not wise.
As for honor, another King Solomon proverb gave this advice.
Are you going to honor a fool? Why not shoot a slingshot with the rock tied tight? (Proverb 26:3)
In other words, it is folly to honor the folly of fools who promote negative rather than positive actions of life for themselves or their community.
And it is very sad and foolish when any parent ingests recreational marijuana in front of their child. Because they may regret their folly if their child grows up to be one of six to ten people who are susceptible to marijuana becoming a gateway to drug addiction as reported by the CDC.

You Decide
Is the use of recreational marijuana wise or foolish?
Should all news media take the initiative to provide medical warnings of the CDC when they report any news relevant to recreational marijuana or addictive drugs?
Same as Congress passed a law to give warnings to people still buying cigarettes and increasing the probability and risk of lung cancer as every doctor knows and warns their patient to stop smoking to prevent being in the same predicament of the patient in the above feature image.
Why didn’t the Illinois Legislators who promoted the sale of recreational marijuana include mandatory warnings be affixed to every bag or product containing THC and the percentages same as cigarettes. Don’t they know about the CDC warnings? Are they not supposed to be concerned about the health of their constituents too? Or perhaps they are profiting on the sale same as everyone who bought marijuana stock or approved financing for selling poison to their fellow Americans?
Is being a seller or promoter of recreational marijuana worthy of honor for a wise news source, legislator, seller, a perhaps fools?
