… understanding the law of supply vs. demand. The result is even greater folly for the future of the USA because……?
The Chicago Tribune article titled, Pot’s impact on public lands felt, provides clues to substantiate how the long-term effect of legalizing recreational marijuana will provide an even greater folly for society in the future based on the sound proven theory law of supply vs, demand.
The Purpose of This Post
Is to convey a rebuke and basic economic law information to substantiate why legalizing recreational marijuana will over time be one of the most foolish decisions ever made by USA
Regardless if their decision was a result of lack of economics or greed, the end result will provide a further deteriorating effect on American’s society, health and welfare.
In other words, this post will provide the simplest wisest common-sense factor that was overlooked by lawmakers when they voted to approve the sale of recreational marijuana in their communities.

The Value of Wisdom
…5It is better to heed a wise man’s rebuke than to listen to the song of fools. 6For like the crackling of thorns under the pot, so is the laughter of the fool— this too is futile. 7Surely extortion turns a wise man into a fool, and a bribe corrupts the heart.…

Long life is in her (Wisdom’s) right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. (Proverb 3:16)
What’s My Point?
Lawmakers who approved the sale of recreational marijuana on the premise that by making it legal, customers will no longer buy from criminals.
When in fact, according to the law of supply and demand, the lower the price will result in a larger market for any product that provides pleasure.
The price of legal marijuana will always be higher than illicit marijuana because of added taxes and regulations. By legalizing a product that produces instant pleasure will surely create more demand as well as more users.
Once more people experience the foolish pleasure of recreational marijuana, in time the demand or market will grow. And as the laws of supply and demand, the lower the price products marketers, or illicit drug sellers, will grow and profit.
Meanwhile the long-term health effects will weigh on future society to pay for medical care. Same as when a drug addict becomes addicted, they do not go to the seller for help, they wind up on taxpayers and society to pay for the cost of their care or rehabilitation.
In other words, since the CDC, Center for Disease Control of the USA, and every doctor knows the long-term health risks of ingesting marijuana into a human body. The result of the lawmaker’s short-term tax profits will dwindle over time to become a greater cost and burden for American taxpayers and society welfare.
In My Opinion,
Every lawmaker who was sold on the benefits of legalizing marijuana make a foolish long-term decision. Not only because they did not understand the proven economic theory of law demand, it is because they lack spiritual wisdom.
Wisdom, especially spiritual wisdom, is not just about knowing what’s good for you, but applying that knowledge into your everyday life. When you do that, this is when you know that you are truly wise.
When a pothead ingests marijuana in their human body, he or she begins laughing in a similar manner as this ancient 3000-year-old observation of a fool.
6For like the crackling of thorns under the pot, so is the laughter of the fool— this too is futile.
Why is it foolish and futile is simple, it will shorten their own human lifespan over time?
And in my opinion, shorten our Nation’s ability to pay for their future medical care.
In other words, it was not wise to legalize recreational marijuana. In time, the benefits will outgo the risks and costs for both users and our Nation.
