King Solomon Blog, Because Steve, it’s……to Opt Out

Interested why local governing bodies choose  to Opt Out of selling recreational marijuana in their communities?

A Chicago Tribune columnist titled, In Chicago suburbs, legal marijuana meets the not in my backyard crowd, stated his opinion:
“I have news for the opponents: Recreational marijuana use is already going on in their communities”
The Purpose of This Post
Is to explain the reason why every community should opt out.
King Solomon
Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm. (Proverb 13:20)
For through wisdom[a] your days will be many,
and years will be added to your life. (Proverb 9:11)
What’s My Point?
The columnist includes statements what other States are experiencing, basically, short term effects since 2014, or six years.
However, he makes no mention of the medical findings of the CDC, Center for Disease Control, of the long-term effects.
Basically, the CDC agrees with King Solomon’s proverb that wisdom adds years to your life.
The other proverb gives advice that if you walk with a fool companion, you will suffer harm.
In My Opinion
The columnist message is a mixture of advice that just because fools want to engage in drugs or alcohol, it is okay to because of his opinion, they should do the same.
And, just because other fools want to do so, doesn’t make it wise to make it easier to obtain drugs because as every marketer and baseball player knows “build it and they will come.”
In other words, Steve, because if you are wise, you will not engage in any pleasure that has been medically proven to shorten your life. Or, some people are wiser and care more about their communities than other people.
If Interested,
Read the CDC link below. I will not provide the Chicago Tribune Link because same as the Opt outs, I do not want spread folly.
You Decide
Is it wise or folly to follow people who believe in “Monkey See, Monkey do,” and or listen and follow “Pied Pipers” columnist’s liberal tunes?
Would you concur, “Wisdom is the quality that keeps you from getting into situations where you need it.”
Regards and goodwill blogging.
