Should someone add some new verses to his hit song based on a wise County Board Decision?
The Chicago Tribune article titled, DuPage is state’s, 1st county to nix recreational pot.
The Purpose of This Post
Is to extend my accolades to the Board Members who voted not to allow the sale of recreational Marijuana in DuPage County.

What’s My Point?
Even though their decision only prohibits sales in unincorporated DuPage County, their numerous reasons reported in the news article are valid proven reasons.
In My Opinion
I have written numerous posts why I believe it is folly to legalize the sale of recreational marijuana. However, I always stated from the beginning of my posts that Illinois legislators would be successful to pass the legislation. For example, consider the beginning referendum wording for voter’s opinions began the process to legalize.
The referendum stated,
“In the event marijuana is legalized, should the city of Chicago appropriate revenue from the sale of marijuana to increase funding for Chicago Public Schools and for mental health services?”
Read the final wording of what the Bill states now where the funds will be used and you will discover something changed drastically where the funds are going to be allocated.
In My Opinion
There was a hit song sung by Merle Haggard, Okie for Muskogee which needs one more verse.
Perhaps,
“We don’t want any selling of recreational marijuana in DuPage County
Cause we are wiser than them fools rowdy,
We want our kid’s brains to grow for thinking free
Cause wise is what God meant their brains to be.”
