King Solomon, Patriotic Act Misnomer?

An example of twisted word meanings….or ?

The Chicago Tribune Article titled, Refusing to stand for the national anthem is also a patriotic act.

I wonder if this is an example of a deliberate liberal news commentary, or an accidental misnomer?

Patriot Definition

noun

1. a person who vigorously supports their country and is prepared to defend it against enemies or detractors.

Patriotic Definition

adjective

having or expressing devotion to and vigourous support for one’s country. (Source HERE)

Act Definition

1. take action; do something. 

2. behave in the way specified.

noun

1.a thing done; a deed.

In My Opinion

I do not know if the writer was unaware of his misnomer title.

You would think that an editor would have questioned the title,……… or something else? Perhaps, a trademark political strike instead. as described in the above No, 2  definition of the UK description of patriotic?

In my opinion, the title should be political act instead of patriotic act.

You Decide

Ia Kneeling a Political or Patriotic Act?

Is the Chicago Tribune writer, politically liberal or conservative,  mistaken, or confused?

Should kneelers worry about the real lions (issues) whereabouts?

Are the lions (issues) in the ballpark, or in certain streets of our nation?

If not in the ballpark, are kneelers engaging in a slothful act by not taking action to confront the lion in the streets where real lions (issues) are wandering about?
