Entertainers, please exhibit wise polite manners at the Oscars. Why?
A man’s house is his castle. When I invite someone into my castle, I expect him or her not to be fools who will exhibit impolite manners. Keep in mind, we viewers pay actors for entertainment and they need to consider when they enter our castles that millions of viewers will observe and judge whether they are wise or fools according to the following wisdom proverbs
Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent,and discerning if they hold their tongues. (Proverb 17:28)
Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions. (Proverb 18:2)
What is My Point?
When we spend our money and time to watch talented actors and actresses perform in movies and plays, we do so to enjoy entertainment value, and it is our choice. If we choose to go to a political rally or listen to political opinions or news commentators it is by choice.
However, we do not enjoy when an entertainer expresses their personal political opinions at the Oscars, even though we may or may not agree with them. Same as fools exhibit bad manners by bringing up politics at a dinner table, entertainers exhibit bad impolite manners when they voice political opinions at the Oscars.
Warning Notice
This is our warning to all actor or actress that appear in the Oscars. We will turn off our TV and never watch any more of your performances if you interject your personal political opinions at the Oscars. Why? Because of the following advice of wise King Solomon if confronted with a fool.
Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Or you will also be like him. (Proverb 26:4)
He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will suffer harm. (Proverb 13:20)
