Public Schools Main Pandemic Disadvantage?

What missing advantage do private schools have aside from religion over public schools?

The Chicago Tribune opinion article titled; Poster boy for school choice, reported on photos taken of a public-school union leader taking his child to a private school.

In previous posts I commented that 40 percent of public-school teachers and most politicians do the same including the Mayor of Chicago.

The Purpose of This Post

Is to relate an ancient proverb to the obvious hypocrisy and my opinion to state what most people who attended a private religious school understand and make choices and personal sacrifices to choose for their children. Which unfortunately, aside for religious values, is becoming less and less possible for most middle class and poor parents to afford.

King Solomon

Rich and poor live side by side, Yahweh makes them all. (Proverb 22:2)

Excerpt

“The problem to avoid between the rich and poor is when the rich believe that they are better than the poor, or the poor envy and steal from the rich. Then the rich will separate themselves from living among the poor. When wealth separates people, the community will divide and weaken in time. There may be a difference in wealth amongst people, but our God has created both rich and poor for a reason.”

What’s My Point?

The government has an advantage of using tax funds to offer many services to entice parents to choose to send their children to a public school. A teacher benefits by teaching in public rather than private schools because of the difference in salary and benefits negotiated which entice them to teach in a public school and in many cases be a babysitter instead of a teacher because of the one advantage, other than religious values, that private schools have over public schools,

The main advantage id private schools are the ability to maintain discipline in their schools When a child’s discipline becomes a problem in a classroom, teachers will call in parents to become involved. The parents understand they must do their part and support the teachers because if they do not, the school will not allow the problem child to continue to disrupt the classrooms,

This option or incentive for parents to become involved with helping teachers maintain discipline is in effect one of the two reasons most private schools achieve higher scores that public schools

My point is, if you do not believe that discipline is a factor in a child’s learning experience to build character, I don’t know what to say. I enclosed one of numerous articles available on the subject of school disciple in the Source Links below.

In My Opinion,

The real reason you will not hear any teacher in a public school who has beeb resisting opening public schools while at the same time private schools have been open since the fall, is that teachers know that many public-school children will not obey the strict discipline measures implemented by private schools,

In other words, the teachers know they cannot refuse allowing a child to have his or her temperature taken before admittance, wear face masks, maintain displace of distance, etc. etc. that private schools engage in.

In my opinion, the pandemic has revealed the silent hypocrisy of public school’s vs private schools discipline disadvantages to reveal that inspire of the differences in teachers’ salaries, and benefits, and numerous other differences in sports activities, or frivols school courses, without discipline, parents who can afford to will choose to send their children to a private school.

You Decide

Is discipline needed to develop character in any child?

If you believe so and cannot afford to send your child to a private school, why not elect legislatures in your State to support school choice so that “rich and poor can learn to live side by side …………while at the same time understand the reason why was observed in the following proverb;

: 31Whoever oppresses the poor taunts their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors Him.
