Would Biden and Trump take this test of faith?
I read an article titled: Trump tries to leverage
office to undo Biden win, which contained the following excerpts statements
“Their duties are to receive the canvass
and certify the canvass, that’s it, …. They have absolutely no power to
investigate allegations, theories or any half-brained kind of arguments that
are being thrown around. ….. chronicling the 2020 race, wrote that there would
be “rioting” in the streets if an effort was made to set aside the vote in
Michigan, calling it tantamount to an attempted coup.”
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate an ancient proverb and idiom how to solve
disputes which worked in a Nation of faith believers.
King Solomon
The lot is cast into the lap, but its
every decision is from the LORD. (Proverb 16:33)
Idiom – Don’t Change Horses in the Middle
of the Stream
From an 1864 speech by Abraham Lincoln, in
reply to Delegation from the National Union League who were urging him to be
their presidential candidate. 'An old Dutch farmer, who remarked to a companion
once that it was not best to swap horses when crossing streams."
What’s My Point?
I can understand how the pandemic helped the election
process change “in midstream” and perhaps may have changed the election results.
Sadly though, if we read behind the lines in the above
articles, the elections can be certified even though the certifiers have “no
power to investigate allegations.”
And the statement that numbers can’t lie, is only
applicable if humans don’t lie.
My point is life was much simpler in ancient times
when a society had faith in the Lord and used lots to end situations where powerful
people with power would draw out endlessly arguments.
In My Opinion
When voters do not have faith in an election results
as the result of changing voting methods it can be related to Abraham Lincoln
use of the idiom that it is not best or perhaps wise to do so to avoid getting
wet.
Since both men have stated they a faith believer, even
if they agreed to drawing lots to decide the 2020 election, because the USA is secular,
their supporters would not have faith in the results.
To redo the entire election is probably the only
option, but in reality, the power’s behind the Democrat Party will not
agree to this option in my opinion,
The question then arises what is going to happen after
the election if the voters have no faith in the numbers, the election
certifiers have no power to investigate the numbers, and there is a risk of
rioting, the probable result will be the same thing that happened when Trump was
elected in 2016,
Voters will more than likely go around saying the
reverse of this statement, “Trump (Biden) is not my President.”
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart,
And lean not upon thine own understanding:
In all thy ways acknowledge him, (Proverb 3:5-6)
Sad.

You Decide
Should we have faith in election certifiers that have “no
power to investigate allegations?”
Should Biden and Trump draw lots which King Solomon
advised during a time when people believed in the Lord instead human
understanding as this proverb states?
