What did Benjamin Franklin and King Solomon have in common that relates to Covid-19 and a service economy?
The Chicago Tribune articles reported on the issues of mask and testing needs along with a new service to disinfect used M95 masks in order to replenish the shortage of these highly effective face masks.

What’s My Point?
The N95 mask is the most coveted item in the world today because if worn it will reduce by .95 percent the risk of becoming infected with Covid-19.
In previous posts I explained why the folly of outsourcing 90 percent of USA medical supplies to China located 8000 miles away is the main factor of the shortage of availability of this type mask.
While finding a cure, a vaccine, or a fast means of testing are priorities, the single item that would reduce the risk is having availability of wearing a mask and using in every place of employment or social activity.
My point is everyone now is experiencing the need for a N95 mask may now believe that outsourcing manufacturing capabilities of 90 percent of medical supplies was foolish.
In My Opinion

If interested, read the article and discern this type of thinking was based on vanity, whether it be for profit or belief that manufacturing is low level type of employment.
In my opinion, hopefully the USA will learn from this sad experience that for want of a mask, the battle (of time in life) are lost.
Hopefully, a local manufacturer will come up with a reusable more comfortable face mask to speed up and reduce the amount of N95 material needed to protect against COVID-19.
