Interested in a simple answer, not ad hoc, why both computers and humans struggle with bias and a host of other follies?
The Chicago Tribune article titled, Computer Algorithms Minus Bias, reported how computer scientist struggle “with information that is not bias, algorisms can still produce unfair or other “undesirable outcomes,” and “We are hoping that other researchers at their own labs will continue to make better algorithms.”
The Purpose of This Post
Is to provide a simple common answer for the conundrum for both computers and humans based on a King Solomon wisdom proverbs.
Definition of algorithm (Merriam Webster)
: a procedure for solving a mathematical problem (as of finding the greatest common divisor) in a finite number of steps that frequently involves repetition of an operation

What’s My Point?
The same answer to the conundrum of both computers and humans is lack of wisdom.
Specifically, to overcome bias, spiritual wisdom is required instead of secular wisdom.
The same conundrum answer applies in attempting to teach our children in secular schools.
In My Opinion
The same conundrum that computer scientists, to find how to program a non-biased algorithm into a computer by programing practical wisdom and not include spiritual wisdom?
Same as a child only taught practical wisdom will never obtain spiritual wisdom to end bias and a host of other folly that we humans ever since Adam and Eve were led to believe they could obtain the same knowledge and wisdom by lacking the discipline to obey their Creators instructions and laws.

When will we humans wise up to understand every generation since Adam and Eve keeps repeating the same folly of believing we have the same power as our Creator?
When will we return to teaching our children spiritual wisdom instead of hoping for an ad hoc human remedies for the same problems that keep repeating generation after generation?
The same follies as recorded in human history and the Bible, instead of hoping for another human discovery based on an ad hoc human algorithm, instead of our Creators laws and instructions recorded in the Bible, to end bias and a host of other human follies.
Would school vouchers help return teaching spiritual wisdom to our children instead of government mandated, and continually changing human secular teachings based on scientists hoping to make better ad hoc algorithms to program our children?
Should we listen to birds in the dark of December in Washington instead of the light and warmth of Spring in the Bible?
