King Solomon, Wisdom of Fear, Post Three

Why “Fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom” affects both our body (amygdala brain) and soul (heart religion)?

In the Previous Post,
I stated I will explore what President Franklin D. Roosevelt understood about fear to convert retreat into advance to relate to our present time of fear of guns and violence in the USA.

What did Roosevelt mean by “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself”?

By saying this, FDR was telling the American people that their fear was making things worse.  He goes on to say, “nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance.”
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate how understanding what King Solomon recognized 3000 years ago about fear can accomplish the same goal President Franklin D Roosevelt which was to convert retreat into advance in our present time of fear of guns and violence in the USA.
King Solomon
A wise man knows fear and avoids harm, but a fool is impetuous and self-assured.” (Proverb, 14:16)
What’s My Point?
Modern day psychologists’ studies of fear conditioning on the brain state: These circuits involve the subregions of the amygdala and the cells, synapses, and molecules in these subregions. Thus, “you could say that fear conditioning has been a resounding success story —”
Ancient history recorded mankind’s beliefs in Gods and an afterlife judgment.   Just imagine the fear conditioning they experienced living in prehistoric caves in the darkness of night fearing being eaten by wild animals, or raided by hostile tribes as compared to our modern times fears.
In other words, there is nothing new about fear conditioning under the sun.
My point is that the belief in God has conditioned people since the beginning of time to overcome mankind’s fears and anxieties in life. Fear of God’s judgement as explained in the Bible has served to retreat from evil influences to advance society with wisdom and love.
In My Opinion
Psychology studies have proven that religious Faith can lead believers to overcome fear and depression and mental illness. Faith can instill courage to advance rather than retreat to address fear. Wisdom of fear requires understanding and knowledge to recognize situations to avoid harm as the above proverb advises.
Most people were in fear of economic effects of the Great Depression when President Roosevelt   gave his speech rather than guns and violence and communities. +
The wisdom of Solomon in the Old Testament was a simple meaning of life and beginning advice of how-to live-in life under the sun.
“Obey the Laws of the Ten Commandments,” and “there is nothing better than to be glad and do well during life. “
One thousand years later, Jesus Christ answered this question.

Matthew 22:36-40 King James Version (KJV)

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Sadly
In the USA, our government has interpreted the law of the First Amendment in our Constitutional Republic to make it unlawful to teach fear and love religious wisdom in public schools, those who probably need the teaching and motivation in life most.
People living in poor and violent neighborhoods who cannot afford to either move to safer communities as reported in Chicago Tribune because they cannot afford to do so. They are conditioned with the wisdom of street smarts which is not to become involved being a witness for fear of reprisal by street gangs. They know the police cannot protect them if they become a witness. They also know police presence is limited and mainly occurs after a crime.
The result is they live in greater fear for both that affects both their body and souls.
Nothing is going to change under the sun in high crime communities if criminals have neither fear of the Lord, nor fear of the police.
School vouchers is one way to change in the future the present retreat from fear to advance the fear of fear itself as President Roosevelt describe now taking place in high violence communities.

In My Next Post
I will explore the Intellectual philosophy of the atheist Bertrand Russell beliefs in fear and religion for you to discern his wisdom of fear versus s King Solomon’s.
You Decide
Are people living in high crime communities living with the same fear described by President Franklin D. Roosevelt that is “nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance?
Would people be less fearful if they lived in a community that was taught to understand and believe in King Solomon’s wisdom and Jesus Christ’s love in the Bible?
Would people be less fearful if they lived in a community where peoples brains and hearts have been conditioned to watch over each other?
