Are trees really the Earth’s Lungs and how does this question relate to an ancient “guardian angel?”
The Chicago Tribune article titled, Brazilian unit start deploying to battle fires in the Amazon, reported:
“The planet's lungs are on fire. Let’s save them.”
The Purpose of This Post
Is to relate the GAIA Theory to the ancient wisdom of King Solomon and the believe in Goddesses as symbols of Wisdom and Earth as living organisms.
For example, both human lungs and trees functions are similar in appearance and function to sustain life for both humans and planet.
King Solomon
She is a tree of life to those who embrace her,
and those who lay hold of her are blessed. (Proverb 3:18)
What’s My Point?
Ancients compared women as Goddesses to nurture humans same as a mother nurtures their children. For example, King Solomon’s Goddess of Wisdom. Greek Goddess Gaia of earth.
James Livestock Gaia Hypothesis is a contemporary belief that t earth is a living organism instead of a Goddess.
If you compare human lungs to trees, both perform similar functions, similar terminologies to describe the functions of breathing functions to sustain life in humans and our planets oxygen atmospheric requirements for life.
In other words, the statement that trees are the planets lungs is a valid comparison.
In My Opinion
Ask any doctor if smoking is healthy or foolish decisions to choose to maintain health and he will tell you the truth based on scientific studies.
There is nothing new under the sun about making foolish choices observations made by King Solomon three thousand years ago. While ancients compared earth to be a woman to nurture us to be a Goddess, we better wise up and realize that trees are vital organs to absorb carbon dioxide and exchange oxygen.
Whether we choose to ingest smoke into our lungs or our atmosphere is folly.
If we continue to deforest the lungs of our planet, it is folly.
