King Solomon Patronizing Politicians, Clergy, and News Media?

Is it wise or foolish for Americans to be “tamed” by patronized, fetishizing, or aestheticizing them to keep them out of touch with the truth?

The Chicago Tribune article titled, Lightfoot’s solemn duty: Taming Chicago gun violence, reports that in spite of 1200 policeman being deployed into violent areas of Chicago over the Memorial weekend, 42 people were shot, seven fatally.
The Purpose of This Post
Is to present the “salt and light “by politicians, clergy, and news media who serve the public that it is not wise or practical to believe they can tame people who make free will choices that results in shootings and deaths in their community.
King Solomon
An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips. (Proverb 24:6)
Bible, Salt and Light
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:13-16 New International Version (NIV)
What’s My Point?
The USA Constitution and Bill of Rights main focus is freedom of choice, To maintain this focus, everyone has a role and duty as citizens and voters.
In My Opinion
Politicians, Clergy, and News Media have a duty to present” salt and light” truth about issues instead of patronizing, fetishizing, or aestheticizing voters to placate them to be “:in touch” of the truths.
In a previous post on Chicago Violence I stated the truth about the drugs being the main arteries causing gun violence in Chicago in this statement.
“In other words, everyone who buys a drug product from a gang seller is a party to the killings going on in Chicago for drug territory.”

You Decide
Would you consider it to be more personal, same as a kiss on the lips, to be given and honest answer who shares the responsibility of Chicago violence.
Is telling people who buy drugs from the people who are shooting up their community that the buyers of drugs share the blame for all the blood being spit on Chicago’s streets?
When truth loses credibility, is that the same as salt loses saltiness?
Will polarization and or condescending truth he the same as dimming a light on issues, or enlighten people to tame their foolish choices?
