King Solomon, The Beauty of Life Is….

Interested in comparing the meanings of this picture and contemporary poem verses to ancient King Solomon verses?

Purpose of This Post
I saw this picture and read this following poem on a great blog, and decided to compare some ancient king Solomon Wisdom verses to the poem. The reason is that the motto of my blog is very similar to the last verse of the poem.
Verses for Featured Image
15 Behold, you are beautiful, my love.
Behold, you are beautiful.
Your eyes are doves.
17 The beams of our house are cedars.
Our rafters are firs. (Song of Songs)
Poem by – Jennifer Edwards
“The beauty of life is
while we cannot undo what is done
we can see it, understand it, learn from it and change
so that every new moment is spent
not in regret, guilt, fear or anger
but in wisdom, understanding and love.”
Compare This Poem to King Solomon Verses
 The beauty of life is
Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come; the cooing of doves is heard in our land. (2:12 Song of Songs)
while we cannot undo what is done
Do not say, “Why were the old days better than these?”
For it is not wise to ask such questions. Ecclesiastes 7:10
we can see it, understand it, learn from it and change
for gaining wisdom and instruction; for understanding words of insight; (Proverb 1:2)
so that every new moment is spent
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet[a] no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
not in regret, guilt, fear or anger
For the despondent, every day brings trouble; for the happy heart, life is a continual feast. (Proverb 15:15)
but in wisdom, understanding
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. (Proverb 3:13)
and love.”
Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy is fierce as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the LORD. Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it. If a man offered for love all the wealth of his house, he would be utterly despised. Song of Solomon 8:6-7
