Interested in a brief article to provide some wise writing tips?
The Purpose of This Post
Is to compare 3000-year-old proverbial advice to a contemporary article titled, Writing About Controversial Topics. I believe a comparison would be an interesting meaningful wise advice article for readers to consider when writing or blogging posts, novels, twitters, etc.etc.
I highlighted the following headings of the brief article tips followed by King Solomon Proverbs I selected which give similar proverbial advice or tips for you to compare.
Know Your Goal
The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:
2 To know wisdom and instruction,
To [a]perceive the words of understanding,
3 To receive the instruction of wisdom,
Justice, judgment, and equity;
4 To give prudence to the simple,
To the young man knowledge and discretion—
5 A wise man will hear and increase learning,
And a man of understanding will [b]attain wise counsel,
6 To understand a proverb and an enigma,
The words of the wise and their riddles. (Proverbs Chapter One)

Stick to the truth
Buy the truth and do not sell it– wisdom, instruction and insight as well. (Proverb 23:23)
Stay brutally focused
The simple believe anything, but the prudent give thought to their steps.(Proverb 14:15)
Avoid hyperbole
Righteous lips are the delight of kings,
And they love him who speaks what is right. (Proverb 16:13)

Avoid clichés
My son, if you accept my words
and store up my commands within you,
2 turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding—
3 indeed, if you call out for insight
and cry aloud for understanding,
4 and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure, (Proverbs Chapter 2)

Let Readers Draw Their Own Conclusions
The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways, but the folly of fools is deception. (Proverb 14:8)
Get Outside Perspectives
Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. (Proverb 15:22)
Speak from the heart
My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad indeed; (Proverb 23:15)
What’s My Point?
The above proverbs were wise profound advice 3000 years ago to be careful and prudent what you say or write can be the same as writing in stone.
In our contemporary world, it is more profound now with the internet, mass news media, and Google can zero in in nanoseconds what you wrote or said years ago when you were either young and foolish in either order.
In My Opinion
Be prepared though, to accept the consequences of what you write about a Controversial Topic. If you are attempting to persuade someone to your point and they accuse you of being an insane idealist dreamer like Don Quixote, you are probably writing about the above same goals King Solomon wrote.
