How does a policeman know who to stop and frisk?
The Chicago Tribune article titled, Mayor, No need for stop and frisk,reports that Mayor Emanual does not believe in policeman stop and frisk laws for Chicago police. The article reminded me of when I was assigned to drive with an experienced police officer while in training to be an auxiliary policeman in Elmhurst Illinois.
While driving through a neighborhood, he suddenly stopped the vehicle, got out our and walked up to a group of boys who were walking on the sidewalk. I observed him politely asking them if he could see what they had in some paper bags they were carrying. They replied, “It was only some eggs they were carrying.”
The policeman told them that there had been reports of eggs being thrown at houses in the area and asked them if they know who might have been doing that. They all said no. He then asked if they wanted him to take their names and call their parents or if they would rather break all the eggs in front of him and in the bags and put the bags in a nearby garbage container. They all decided to break the eggs and left after he warned them that the next time he saw them with bags of eggs, they would not have a choice.
When I asked him why he decided to stop them, he said that there were reports of kids throwing eggs at houses in the area, and after being a policeman for a while, you can tell when someone looks at them with a guilty look on their face.
The purpose of this post is to question the wisdom of preventing a policeman from stopping and frisking someone in a neighborhood that has a high rate of shootings who appears to have either a guilty look on their face or to prevent someone from using a gun hidden on them or in their ”bags.”

What’s My Point?
I have chosen the above verses to question if the Mayor or Activists are prudent or wise to prevent the police to attempt to maintain order in a high crime area in order not to offend individual Rights of people living in the communities,
There is a vast difference in a policeman stopping kids for throwing eggs or from shooting bullets at homes and those living in high crime areas.
In My Opinion
The Mayor should take have a voter referendum in the coming election to have Chicagoans vote in the communities decide on Stop and Frisk instead of Rights Activists The question might ask if they prefer the police be given the authority to stop and frisk in their communities to hopefully prevent a shooting, or to just call a policeman to report a shooting?

What is a more prudent alternative that you might suggest the police do in high crime areas who can do nothing but drive around and be seen to hopefully prevent crime and then report the crimes that happen when they are not in view?.
Who is more prudent on this issue, Mayor Emanual or President Trump?
