How would King Solomon Judge the Character Assassination, or Murder taking place in Washington?
The purpose of this post is to compare the present legal scenario taking place in the news to what apparently took place 3000 years ago as another testament of the validity of the following King Solomon Biblical verses.
King Solomon
Nothing is new under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 1:9) For what will the man do who is to come after the King? What men have already done. (Ecclesiastes 2:12)
In a novel Excerpt, I surmised based on King Solomon’s Proverbs, how he may have explained to the Queen of Sheba his requirements for someone to provide before they accuse someone of a wrongdoing. The novel is a contemporary application of a story form to promote understanding of proverbs and ancient wise sayings in relation to our modern times.
Novel Excerpt
“Explain the reasoning of your law that two witnesses must come forward in cases of a murder and why an accuser is subject to the same penalty of the murderer if he could not prove his accusation.”
“The law is to protect the innocent from unjust accusations. We believe in having penalties for both false accusers and false witnesses.”
“How do Israelites determine penalties for the wrongdoers you judge?” Bilqis asked.
“Our penalties originate from the Laws of Moses. The basic intent of his laws is to dispense justice in equal measures of a life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, and foot for foot.”
“The premise of this law may sound harsh in tone; however, the intent is instead to obtain fairness and justice to the offender in an equal measure of the wrongful act. An enraged wronged person seeking revenge would be inclined to punish an offender with a penalty far greater than the crime. A prudent judge will determine the nature of the crime and the equivalency of the penalty.”
What’s My Point?
John Kass’s final statement, “We reap what we sow,” is another Biblical verse to warning for everyone witnessing the character murder political act taking place has consequences in the justice of our Nation. In other words, if you allow something to happen to someone else, it can also happen to you.
Recognizing that in ancient times, no young underage girl would be allowed to go to an unsupervised teenage party with boys and wine, our contemporary world and cultures are as far apart in reality of our times as two different universes in reality. However, the question of the wisdom of either a male of a female going to an underaged (illegal) drinking party would presume both sexes to risk folly by both or worse, a date rape.
As for a natural inclination to do right, according to researchers at Yale University’s Infant Cognition Center, also known as “The Baby Lab,” babies can actually tell good from evil, even as young as 3 months old.
In My Opinion
The only prudent thing to do with this scenario is to allow the present Senate meeting to take place. Hopefully, the national attention will become a real-life lesson for both Congress, the Justice Department, the public, and teenagers to learn a lesson about what can happen when a teenager goes to an unsupervised drinking and drug party with adolescent men and woman.
After which, a law is enacted that any accusations of sexual misconduct between males and females must have a witness or DNA or evidence within a reasonable short time after the folly.
As for me personally, and perhaps for every adolescent male or female ever born, thinking back of my own conduct and treatment of girls in my adolescent years, I pray my “bones” will be fairer and equitably judged by my Creator rather than the present Illness deep within the political bones of our Senators in our Republic.
