Why is it wise and Christian to Praise and Thank someone for fulfilling what they promise?
The Chicago Tribune article titled, Generic Epipen winds FDA approval, reports that President Trump’s promise to reduce drug costs resulted in an FDA approved generic drug for Epipens.
The purpose of this post is to personally thank President Trump Scores, from this date forward, for fulling his promise to lower drug costs because my daughter has to buy and use Epipens as part of her monthly allergy treatments.
Since the news media may not broadcast this accomplishment, I will because it is a wise thing to do according to King Solomon’s wisdom Proverbs.
King Solomon
Clouds and wind and no rain, a man who boasts about a non-existent gift. (Proverb 25:14)
“In the end, after all his fair promises, nothing happens. His words are empty, and in this respect be like the clouds and wind which bring no rain. Everyone knows how the deceptive the clouds can be, especially when, in the wake of a scorching summer, people long for the rains. The clouds can be red and lowering, betokening a storm, but time and again it does not come off.” (Proverbs McKane)
Let someone else praise you, and not your own mouth; an outsider, and not your own lips.(Proverb 27:2)
What’s My Point?
If you recall, the Epipen manufacture was in the news for raising the price for this life-saving drug from $100 dollars in 2007 to $608 today. The President of the company salary increased from 4 million to 18 million. My doctor told me he estimated the cost of the drugs and applicator of the manufacturer to be under $25.
In a previous post, I explained why President Trump has to “toot his own horn” because the news media prefers otherwise.
In My Opinion
While I personally prefer he would be more wise and humble according to the proverb, I now find President Trump accolades and boastfulness of himself and his accomplishments is necessary for him to remind us of the main reason he was elected.
Also, that being voters were fed up with empty suit politicians and decided enough was enough.
It is wise and Christian to thank someone for fulling their promises.
