Why you hold your hand over your heart during the National Anthem Ceremony?

In two previous posts, about NFL players kneeling during the flag ceremony, I complained kneeling to be a shameful act for an activist to engage because it instills divisiveness instead of unity for a political cause.

I watched the opening flag ceremony last night, Bears Packers football opening ceremony. The cameras focused on the players and the audience and noticed that while the players locked arms, some players managed to hold their hand over their hearts. In the audience, some locked arms, some saluted, some held their hands over their hearts.

A blogger brought up a comment that he preferred the players to hold their hands over their hearts and suggested that locking arms was a half-hearted political gesture to appease the football audience who were booing the NFL for allowing players to kneel and not firing them as President Trump’s emotional tweets.

In My Opinion

While Ironically the statement in the article,  “In the United States, free speech trumps all,” is in the article, a lot of people dislike President Trump,

However,  President Trump has free speech”Rights” about the “Rules” of how to be respectful when we address the Flag and National Anthem..

I prefer to hold my hand over my heart when addressing the flag ceremony.
