Did a misinterpretation of the First Amendment result in terrorists creating anarchy in the streets of the USA?
Legal Definitions
Terrorism – The U.S. Code of Federal Regulations defines terrorism as “the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives” (28 C.F.R. Section 0.85).
Anarchy – noun absence of authority, breakdown of administration, chaos, confusion, discord, disobedience, disorder, disorderliness, disorganization, disregard, indiscipline, insubordination, insurgence, interregnum, irresponsibility, lawlessness, licentia, misgovernment, misrule, mob law, mob rule, nihilism,political disorder, rebellion, revolution, riot, sedition, tumult, turmoil, unruliness, uprising(Source HERE)
The Chicago Tribune on August 23, 2017 reported in an article titled, Black-clad anarchists storm Berkeley rally, assaulting 5, used the word anarchists. In the Charlettesville tragedy, the word terrorists were used. (Source HERE)
If you compare the reasons why the police did not react to control either scenarios, you may wonder what the difference is in terrorism and anarchy.

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

First Amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
In Other Words
The authors did not want the Government to establish a national religion that required any person to be a member of only a certain religious faith instead of a faith of their choice. However, they did not state there is no God. Rather, they believed God provided them with the vision for the Constitution of our nation as evidenced in the words on US Currency, In God We Trust.
Just having words of law, is not sufficient for if we do not keep, or obey the laws. Ae vision Absent the vision and guidance of God in the end, the nation will perish in time.
In My Opinion
Both our Police and Government have lost their vision and understanding of the First Amendment. The result of both terrorism and anarchy is evident in the riots in the streets instead of peaceful assemble, as the police stand by and allow anarchy ratheer than maintain order. Without order, there can be no means to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

In my opinion, when the Supreme Court misinterpreted the First Amendment to absent God being a part of the vision of our nation. The result is what we now see and hear in the news, and it does not make for “happy is he.”
