If only every blogger would…….
Three thousand years ago, there was no internet. However, I believe most of King Solomon’s Proverbial Wisdom advice is still relevant today. Proverbs are pithy statements of advice which may need to be interpreted from ancient times to relate to our modern times.

For Example
Ancient Wording of Proverb 17:1
Better a dry crust with concord, than a house full of sacrifices with strife.
Elaborate hospitality and practiced civility do not necessarily indicate a desire for friendship, and a banquet may be a tense, unhappy occasion with dislikes and rivalries just below the surface and with a climate of insincerity, where men affect goodwill, but are, in fact, probing for weakness in their opponents, engaged in a delicate but deadly form of verbal fencing. (Excerpt from Proverbs McKane)
Modern NIV Proverb Wording.
Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting, with strife.
You Decide
How does this proverb relate to goodwill bloggers and the internet? Keeping in mind that proverbs are goads, or stimuli for wisdom, I discovered this fellow blogger’s interpretation and advice for social media.
Our modern internet blogger interpreted the modern advice of this same proverb with these words and meaning.
“Better is writer’s block with quiet than a blog full of content with strife.”
In My Opinion
I surmise King Solomon might agree with her interpretation. Hopefully next year we will think about her interpretation advice when many of us will sit around our computer tables and feast blogging our internet opinions and messages.
Regards, goodwill blogging, and Happy New Year Blogging.
