King Solomon, Long Life Formula Post Two

Why, on average, is it that rich people live longer?
In my previous post I stated I will explore the second part of Proverb 3:17,“In her (Wisdom’s) left hand are riches and honor.” I also asked this question.
 Is one ingredient missing?
A recent scientific study statistic indicates rich people live longer on average than poor people. That should not surprise anyone because modern medicine and treatment are very expensive. If you cannot afford drugs and doctors, you may die sooner.
However, is there another factor, other than wisdom, riches and honor to consider about why, rich or poor, people are motivated to want to live a long life?.
King Solomon
Meaningless! Meaningless!”
    says the Teacher.
“Utterly meaningless!
    Everything is meaningless.”
What do people gain from all their labors
at which they toil under the sun? (Ecclesiastes 1:2-3)
King Solomon wrote this in the latter part of his life after coming to the conclusion that although he was considered the wisest man in the world, he was incapable of understanding the mysteries of his God. While his wisdom did provide him with ‘riches and honor.’………..and……..
After experimenting with every earthly temporal pleasure and observing every human behavior during his reign in his Kingdom, he states everything, including all the riches he gathered in life would be meaningless when we die.
He advises the only meaningful purpose in life that matters is to please God. Hopefully, by pleasing God, our spirit would be judged to enter God’s Eternal Kingdom.
To please God, this is what was concluded by a reader of his Ecclesiastes.
The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil. (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14)
Is That All There is? Wisdom is Boring? King Solomon is a Phony!
In our temporal world, this is what I believe a skeptical person, after reading the above Solomon advice. might think.
“Boy, if we follow this advice, my life will be really boring. Who really wants to live a long boring life?”
“And that guy King Solomon, what a phony! Did you notice that he gave his advice after experimenting with all the temporal things in life. And boy, what about all those wives and concubines, huh? Why is it so many people want to give advice when they are old after they enjoy all the temporal pleasures in life.”
“And, who knows for sure if there really is a God.”
“I think I rather follow this guy’s song advice.” HERE
In my Next Post,
I will explore the answer to this question.
What could be missing in the proverb 3:16 about Wisdom’s left hand other than riches and honor?
In my opinion, anyone who has included this ingredient in their life formula will really want to live… as long a life as possiible…….. whether or not they are rich or poor…
Regards and good will blogging.
