The Purpose of This Post
Is to give a series of proverbial and wise sayings advice what most experienced street wise residents, including myself, were taught or learned how to survive living in high crime areas.
King Solomon
The wise are cautious and avoid danger; fools plunge ahead with reckless confidence. (Proverb 14:16)
The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty. (22:3)
What’s My Point?
If you discern the information provided, it bears out what street-smart residents should do to avoid or reduce the risks of being a victim/
For Example,
- If you rise early and go to bed early, the safest time to leave home is between 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM. After 8:00 PM the risk rises significantly.
“Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.” (Benjamin Franklin.)
- Friday to Sunday are the highest risk days. If you want to go somewhere on these days, avoid walking around the red areas showing on the map.

- Cold weather months are safer than warm months.

I surmise that discerning just these three prudent tips, the crime rate in Chicago would reduce risks for innocent victims significantly.
