King Solomon, Survival Wisdom for Chicago Residents, Post One

Interested in some wise street smarts if you live in a high crime area in Chicago?

The Chicago Tribune murder rate data provides residents various clues how to avoid being shot in Chicago.
The Purpose of This Post
Is to give a series of proverbial and wise sayings advice what most experienced street wise residents, including myself, were taught or learned how to survive living in high crime areas.
King Solomon
The wise are cautious and avoid danger; fools plunge ahead with reckless confidence. (Proverb 14:16)
The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty. (22:3)
What’s My Point?
If you discern the information provided, it bears out what street-smart residents should do to avoid or reduce the risks of being a victim/
For Example,
  1. If you rise early and go to bed early, the safest time to leave home is between 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM. After 8:00 PM the risk rises significantly.
“Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.” (Benjamin Franklin.)
  • Friday to Sunday are the highest risk days. If you want to go somewhere on these days, avoid walking around the red areas showing on the map.
“It is best to avoid swimming in areas that are known habitats for large alligators but at the least, never swim alone.” (Source Below)
  • Cold weather months are safer than warm months.
For more than a century, scientists have interrogated the link between seasonal weather and crime, consistently finding that warm summer temperatures yield more violence. Higher heat tends to fray nerves and shorten tempers, inspiring aggression, which is why riots tend to happen in the warmer months (Google)
In My Opinion
I surmise that discerning just these three prudent tips, the crime rate in Chicago would reduce risks for innocent victims significantly.
In My Next Post
I will explore the wisdom of Rights for Innocent Victims.
You Decide
Should the Chicago Tribune, news commentators, and news sources broadcast this advice in addition to data to hopefully promote street smarts to the residents of Chicago?
If after reading about alligator safety tips, do you discern the same advice is applicable to high crime areas in Chicago?
If so, should this advice be taught in schools in Chicago?
Was this Post Advice wise or foolish street-smart clues?
Regards and goodwill blogging.
