King Solomon, Ubiquity, A,B,C Wisdom of Guns

What does the ubiquity of a person carrying a gun portray to, and of, our society and nation?

The news flowing today about the controversies of a need for more guns, less guns, no guns, NRA, school shootings, reminds me of stories of the Wild West.. Every news source is reporting various government bodies enacting laws to ban, require or enact stricter measures to prevent another school shooting.
The last football game I went to was the first time I saw men in uniform ( picture above) standing on platforms holding military assault rifles at strategic points in response to terrorist threats then in the news.
My wife said she heard news that in Israel, all teachers wear guns in schools. This apparently is fake news compared to an  article in the Sources below. In addition, I included a Citizen Tom post about guns in schools,.
The purpose of this post is focus not on whether teachers should carry guns in schools, or licensing citizens to carry guns in public. Instead to focus is what does the ubiquity of guns portray to both good and bad guys, and our nation, and to consider present times to the ABC advise of King Solomon.
Ubiquity Definitions
the fact of appearing everywhere or of being very common.
“the ubiquity of mobile phones means you don’t really need a watch”
presence everywhere or in many places especially simultaneously
King Solomon
A. A poor but wise youth is better than an old and foolish king who no longer knows how to receive advice. (Ecclesiastes 4:13)
B. The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty. (Proverb 22:3)
C. 11 I have seen something else under the sun:
The race is not to the swift
or the battle to the strong,
nor does food come to the wise
or wealth to the brilliant
or favor to the learned;
but time and chance happen to them all.
12 Moreover, no one knows when their hour will come:
As fish are caught in a cruel net,
or birds are taken in a snare,
so people are trapped by evil times
that fall unexpectedly upon them. (Ecclesiastes 9 )
What’ Are My Points?
A. Old politicians in office with liberal, conservative, and libertarian views need to either compromise or get out of office because what they portray themselves to be is a bunch of old fools. What is needed now is wisdom by both young and old because times change and what may have worked in the past may not be the wise now.
B. In Israel, and the USA, the fact that guns are ubiquity in view is both a signal of anarchy and a need for security because of a clear and present danger in the societies. It is more prudent to have guns visible when necessary to prevent anarchy than to allow anarchy to prevail.
C. No matter how many precautions are made, there will always be a risk that everyone may be subject to risks and chance occurrences of harm in life.
In My Opinion
When you consider that by having more Rights to have guns available, more marijuana and alcohol available, more freedom for known potential problem people, the risks of anarchy, crime, and accidents will increase.
If you read the Israel article, note they allowed people to carry guns on the street when people were experiencing a rash of knife attacks in the streets.
Nothing is new. Every society in history has never become an Utopia. When you allow Freedom and Rights arguments to prevail in a society, you allow risks of bad guys and anarchy to increase.
Also keep in mind, many historians believe Hitler came to power by first taking all guns from the public along with a massive propaganda program.
In other words, nothing is new under the sun in history or now. in the Wild West people carried guns because it was prudent.
Frankly, when you consider the present odds of either another terrorist attack, or school shooting in the USA compare to the present existing population, the present odds of being harmed are in the millions to one. However, in the future, the odds may decrease if instead of guns, bomb, and even nuclear weapon are used.
However, a prudent person knows not to wander into a known dangerous area that is unprotected. Whether he or she is a citizen or tourist.
Sadly our schools are now becoming a target for gun anarchists and e bombs have even been recorded to blow up a school in the past. The question we all need to consider is what is the most prudent thing to do to protect our children.
Keep in mind that in Israel, every young person must serve term in the military. So either we do the same in Israel or pay more taxes for security measures.‘
In either case, we have to become both more prudent and selective of who is allowed to enter into both our schools and nation.
You Decide
When you vote next election, will you choose a liberal, conservative, or a libertarian politician?
Will their agenda increase or decrease the risks of anarchy in our nation?
If you were a tourist or parent from another country, would you feel safer walking the streets and sending your kids to schools in Israel or the USA?
If not, does it have anything to do with your perceptions of security or a presence of anarchy in part because of fool politicians not being able to compromise to reduce the risks of being gunned down or harmed during your visit?
Do you believe it to be prudent to continue to allow Utopian ideas of Freedom and Rights that allow known bad guys to wander around in your schools, neighborhoods, cities, country and nation?
Regards and goodwill blogging.
