King Solomon, Broiled Wisdom in Your Christmas Meal?

What common wisdom draws people together, Christian or Secular, to celebrate a Christmas Day meal?

Every year, thousands of people travel home to be with family on Christmas Day. Many endure long flights and travel delays, costs, time and energy to be with family and/or friends. Some come from feeling a sense of duty to parents or family. Some come for love and enjoyment to be with family and friends and renew childhood memories and relations. Some relationships may even bear inner hatred of seeing and eating with people they prefer not to be with as a result of bitterness that developed over the years.
The Christian's reason for Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
Secular beliefs associate Christmas as a Holiday Season to celebrate a meal with special foods and meals and gifts with family and friends.
Since King Solomon era was one thousand years before the birth of Jesus Christ, what ancient wisdom writing bears a common relationship for the Christmas season?
King Solomon
Better a small serving of vegetables with love than a fattened calf with hatred. (Proverb 15:17)
In My Opinion
The Christion Christmas Story relates to our Savior born in a barn instead of a palace. The message of Christmas is love is the greatest gift anyone can share in life.
As for Secular reasons of celebrating the Christmas Season, love is an universal human reason to celebrate a meal with family and friends.
Love makes a any meal taste better and/or any gift more valuable than a costliest meal or treasure.
It is not best or wise in life to serve any meager, or eloquent meal with friends or family, that has been ‘embroiled’ with hatred.
