Is it Wise or foolish for a clown, actor, or ourselves to choose speed over distance?
In my previous post, I related a Shakespeare quote of caution for late night clown entertainers who choose to besmirch politicians with negative clown antics.
In this post, I will relate the wisdom or folly of the choices we all may make that will result in a short or long term run in career and life spans.

What is your mindset right now? None of us can truthfully say. A mindset is like a worldview. It’s the lens through which you see life. A silent filtering process is going on. We let in certain experiences and censor others. When we hear someone else express an opinion, we filter it through yes, no, maybe, and so what? before actually hearing it. Your brain has been programmed and conditioned for years to filter reality; there’s no getting around it without conscious effort.
So everything we encounter in life will come as both a positive and negative experience in life.

What is My Point
Wisdom is knowledge to understand that every free choice decision we make in life will have either short or long term positive or negative effects in our lives and careers.
Viewer ratings have increased recently for late night show entertainers who are besmirching President Trump. Some viewers do not appreciate it and are turning off their TV’s. The long-term result will be these viewers will associate their negative views with these entertainers for a long period and that will not change unless the viewer makes a conscious effort to change their view. Same applies to News Media.
Entertainers depend on both audience viewers and advertising sponsors for their livelihood. In the short term the entertainers may profit, but in the long-term the novelty will wear out. I doubt any of the late-night entertainers besmirching President Trump will last as long or be as profitable over the long run as their predecessors such as Johnny Carson.
The same wisdom applies to everyone as we are all actors on a stage in our lives.
My point is the free choices we make are similar to the choice of type of races in life. The sprinter race will result in a shorter faster run, same as a career or length of life.

Which choice of race will result as wiser play in time or succeed “to take the city”?
Will TV sponsors begin to worry that negative associations with actors to their products be long term too?
Will our choices in life result in our obtaining gray hair in our careers or life span?
