Is the wisdom or folly of the upcoming impeachment based on the same premise and harangues of this idiom?
The Chicago Tribune headline article titled, “Trump adding Star power to legal team in upcoming trial, brought an old idiom phrase about the sky to my mind.
The phrase “The sky is falling!” features prominently in the story, and has passed into the English language as a common idiom indicating a hysterical or mistaken belief that disaster is imminent. (Google)
The Purpose of This Post
Is to discern the righteousness wisdom, or deceitful folly, of asking the question if the arrangement set up by a Vice President for his son to be paid $50,000 a month by a foreign government being subsidized by Congress with a sum of $447 million dollars of taxpayer funds.
Also, is the upcoming Impeachment a “hysterical or mistaken belief” or a “righteous question” for a President to ask “to do us (taxpayers) a favor” to find out why they are paying $50,000 a month to the son of a former Vice President?
King Solomon
Wisdom
Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path. (Proverb 2:9)
Folly
The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. (Proverb 11:18)
What’s My Point?
If you read the various explanations of how the idiom “the sky is falling” has been used or applied since it’s was first written in the 1800ths, this following adaptation could be applied to our present time.
An “oration” delivered to the city of Boston on July 4, 1844, contains the passage:
“To hear their harangues on the eve of the election, one would suppose that the fable of Chicken Little was about to become a truth, and that the sky was actually falling.[21]”
In My Opinion
The same foolish premise of the sky is falling is being used to impeach President Donald J. Trump.
And, it is just one more example of King Solomon’s observation of how folly will keep repeating over and over in every new generation based on the following two proverbs written 3000 years ago.
King Solomon – Ecclesiastes Chapter One
9.What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.
10. Is there anything of which one can say, “Look! This is something new”? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time.

You Decide
Is the sky really falling or is the wisdom and folly of the upcoming Impeachment charges just one more sad repeat example of “their harangues on the eve of the election,”
Or are the premises and conundrum of the Impeachment charges “righteous or deceitful, in need of “Starr Power” or just plain old fashion “wisdom and common sense?” badly needed in our Nation and the World.
