Prologue
Every day we are surrounded with simple and complex codes in our contemporary times. Some as simple as a three number codes on a combination lock. As our children grow over time, they become exposed to social codes such as learning when is a proper time to speak or when to enter into a code of silence. Our home appliances and computers have millions of codes to direct electrons to follow various paths functions to operate seemingly mysterious complex computer coding.
We may also use codes to identify human traits, attributes, or skills, similar to DNA codes. For example, we believe persons have been given varying traits or capabilities. For example, some people may have been gifted with better athletic capabilities than others. In other words, an athletic code.
Writing schools, teach aspiring writers that to create a good story requires another type of coding. For example, a story needs five code elements to create interest. Characters, settings, plots, conflicts, and resolution are fundamental basic codes of a good story.
A story plot is centered on a conflict and the ways in which the characters attempt to resolve the problem of conflict. When the story’s action becomes most exciting, right before the resolution, it is called the climax.
However, the word conflict is opposite in context to the word good according to the codes of wisdom that teaches us to avoid conflict. In other words, there is no such thing as a good conflict in the making of a good story. While at the same time, our world is teeming with conflicts to resolve.
The mystery for readers is to identify the three codes in this story and decide if the story may be based on fact or fiction.
Chapter One
My Son, I have given you all the codes you have asked. What you have created with the codes over time is indeed a beautiful story. However, the code you now seek will result in a repetition to experience the same madness and folly I experienced when I used the code in my story.
Madness and folly father?
Yes, my Son. Inconceivable madness and folly.
My story is not the same as yours though. May I ask the reason why the code would do the same in my story, father?
Because once you enter the code into your story, you will be amazed how complicated and vast your story path and plots expand in different directions than you originally intended. The code allows your story characters to wander about to engage in innumerable subplots and conflicts.
Heroes may suddenly change to veer off in unexpected directions same as the wind. Some characters and plots will wander into subplots that you may find emotionally pleasing or entertaining. While others may turn about to sadden and disappoint you to tears when a hero make sudden unexpected unpredictable changes in character and becomes a villain. The climax of your story is certain to sadden you same I experienced when I used the code in my story.
In other words, if you do not place limitation codes in your story, you no longer control the outcomes and all the time and effort you will spend editing and reediting will always be the same. There will never be anything new. Repetitious conflicts will keep repeating over and over and over until you tire of the madness and folly and decide to delete the codes for the sixth time.
Frankly I do not want you to experience the same grief. disappointment and sadness, you are certain to encounter over time.
But father, did you stated that some parts of my story will please me immensely if you allow me to enter the code?
Yes.
Will the pleasures I experience out way the sadness I may experience?
That is the problem with the code my son. I know you loving heart and character well my son. I also know in time you will have to suffer rather than enjoy the time you spend to build a good story after you insert the code.
Let us end discussing the code you now seek my son. Go now and enjoy expanding your story without the code.
But that is precisely the problem father.
Problem, my son?
Yes father, I no longer seem to enjoy my story because the outcome is too predictable. My story needs the code to keep me interested in expanding the story. Once me became predictable, it no longer has the same value as your story developed after you entered the code.
Go now my son, I will consider your request. I ask you consider my point of view and reservations of the problems that will result from the code.
Chapter Two
Father, do you remember when you first introduced and taught me how to use codes?
Yes, you were very young and interested my son. Yet in spite of your young age, you displayed such amazing talents to create beauty and interest in your story using the codes I gave you whenever you asked for another code. `
Father, may I ask you why you decided to teach me your codes.
Because I knew it would please and entertain you my son. While at the same time, using the codes would help you to develop your talents and powers that you have inherited from both your mother and me.
Did my story displease you when I change my story five times?
Change is part of learning my son. The fact that you are amenable to change your story path sand characters to make it a better story pleased me.
That is only because you helped me father when you gave me more powerful codes. Yes or no father? Why did you give me more codes to continue my story?
Because I knew you would make wise use of the codes in your story. Your present story is a testament to your talents to turn a simple code into a beautiful and colorful story. I love how you managed to make your story self-sustaining and add more beautiful creations over time.
Father, I am no longer a young child. Perhaps my story will become far more beautiful and interesting if you allow me to insert the code. I have discussed my request with mother, she agrees and has promised to try to persuade you to allow me to insert the code. She also promised to help me control the story if it begins to develop badly.
I agree your mother has great powers of persuasion. However, I doubt she will persuade me after what I experienced.
Were you and mother married when you used the code?
No, my son.
If perhaps you were, would it have made a difference on how your story turned out father?
Perhaps, my son. But as I explained yesterday, I do not want you to experience the same disappointments I endured. I doubt that your mother would either.
Father, may I ask you to discuss my request with mother?
If you wish. Have I ever refused anything you have asked? Go now my son.
Chapter Three
Our son has asked me to persuade you to give him the code he seeks.
Yes, he told me you would.
Our son believes the code will expand his story plots to create a more interesting and enjoyable story. More characters will add greater glory for his accomplishments and pleasure in his life and ours, will it not?
Yes, I agree, if, the opposite would not occur. As you know, the opposite of good is bad. Our son is very caring and loving young man. I hate to see him experience what I endured in my story when I inserted the code.
You believe we should place limitations on our son? Why? Because we are afraid, he is not capable of managing or accomplishing the events of his making? Why place limits on our son to limit his abilities. Do you not have confidence in your son?
I do not wish to limit him; However, I already know the madness and folly he will encounter If I give him the code.
How do you know?
Because some things will never change in every story. The story characters will evolve over time and repeat the same character flaws once they have the code. The number of different plot paths that will develop may entertain the readers to some degree. I know that once the code is introduced into his story as well as anyone else’s story, will always result in same ending in time.
Our son seems to think perhaps your story turned out is because I was not with you at the time. if I had been when you entered the code, the story might have turned out differently because of what he describes as my wonderful powers of persuasion.
He apparently appears to indeed love and admire his mother’s powers of persuasion.
And you, do you also indeed love and admire his mother’s powers of persuasion?

Then please ponder more about his request for the code, I will go now. Consider weighing the numbers of good characters and events against the bad outcomes his story will develop. Keep in mind, I promised to help support our son in any endeavor or motive he has to accomplish his story.
What do you believe may be his motive that drives him to want to expand his story?
I believe in his heart what motivates him is his belief that the greater the number of story characters, the greater the glory for both you and your son.
Chapter Four
Sit down beside us my son. Now that you have returned from your journey, tell me your thoughts after you experienced firsthand the madness and folly. Your strength and courage you displayed during your experience has greatly pleased your mother and me.
I love how mother disguised herself as a dove.
Words can never describe how proud and pleased we are of your character and devotion to painfully endure what set out to accomplish in your story.
I believe your story will be read by countless readers until the end of time. Your followers will adore and try to emulate your conduct until the end of time.
Thank you, father and mother for guiding and supporting me after you allowed me to insert the code and especially the other two codes later in my story.
You were right father to send me to save them. Perhaps in time, they will make use of the two other codes to help end the madness and folly. Yes, I agree your words madness and folly would occur when you gave me the first code. You are all knowing and yes, I know I will end this story for a sixth time sometime in the future same as you did in your story father.
So, tell me my son, have you decided yet how much longer your story will continue.
It will depend on how they make use of the two codes to manage the first code and if my characters make use of mother’s powers.
