King Solomon, Help Protect Me from Religion?

Does the First Amendment protect Secularists from Religion, or does it protect Religious Believers from Government?

In a previous post, an interesting commentary developed about Government run Public, versus Private Religious Schooling and opinions of the whys and wherefores for the need for school vouchers.
We all have personal opinions, however, what amazed me was the statement made by a concerned, feisty, articulate young woman, that the purpose of the First Amendment was “about freedom from religions.”
The purpose of this post is to question how and where this young woman came about to believe the intention and purpose of our Nation’s Founders reasons of the First Amendment that pertains to religion. Did some Liberal college course professor teach her his personal Atheist opinions, or who, or where, was she taught to believe, that she needs “protection from religion?”
In other words, what the heck is going on in our public, or private school’s education teachings in the USA, that any young person in the USA, would state he or she needs protection from religion? A nation which inscribed the words on our currency, “In God We Trust.”
King Solomon
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.(Proverb 22:6 NIV)
You can be ruined by the talk of godless people, but the wisdom of the righteous can save you. (Proverb 11:9)
In My Opinion
How sad it is to read a comment from a young woman in the USA.
If Interested,
Read the post and the commentary that ensued, 78 comments, and ask yourselves this question on this Memorial Day Weekend, that we honor the men and women who served and died for freedom in the USA,
You Decide
Were the sacrifices of the heroes who served in the armed forces of our nation in vain, because our founders beliefs and principals of freedom are being subverted by the poor, sad quality of education or media, of both our Constitution, and/or the morality of our young men and women, in the USA?
Regards and good will blogging.
