King Solomon, Cancer Prevention Wisdom

According to a recent study, we can reduce the risk of cancer almost in half by making wise choices to modify the risks of  our lifestyle habits.

Most people will agree that economic wisdom will result in riches. Character derived from wisdom can result in honor.
A new medical study states wise choices of lifestyle can reduce the risks of cancer, and result in long life.
Are these statements really new findings? Not really according to the following proverb written 3000 years ago.
King Solomon
Long life is in her (Wisdom) right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. (Proverb 3:16)
What’s My Point?
Frankly, I was not blessed with good health, yet I may be blessed this year to reach 78 years of life, the average age risk factor for a person born in 2018..Being born in 1940, the highest risk age of a man is 65. (Source HERE)
At my age, I am experiencing the loss of long time good friends and personal acquaintances. Many were smokers, some smoked cigarettes and some smoked marijuana.
Some ate too much, or made poor choices in their diet. Some never believed in exercise, and being called a couch potato did not upset them. Some did not believe in vitamins or that excessive alcohol drinking had any effect on their liver or organs.
Whenever I go for a yearly medical checkup, I am always asked if I smoke and for how long. Ask any doctor if smoking is a factor in cancer, heart, lung, and blood diseases and if he or she says no, my advice is get up quick and go ind another doctor.
Yet, every day in the news lately, I am hearing and reading that marijuana is safe as aspirn or some other benefit of marijuana.
In My Opinion
Whoever believes smoking cigarettes, or that marijuana is as safe as aspirin, needs to contemplate the following saying,
Whoever wrote the saying, “a sucker is born every minute,” was a wise man.
You Decide
Wise or foolish, madness and folly, were two of King Solomon’s comparisons of the people he observed 3000 years ago.
Do you believe the question, when will we wise up, will ever be answered with a positive time frame answer?

Would visiting a tar pit inspire a smoker to modify their views about smoking, anything?
Regards and goodwill blogging.
