What may be a contriving within the hearts of the two main Political Parties in the USA?
Some synonyms of the word jealousy are grudge, resentment, covetousness, enviousness, spite, backbiting, resentfulness, etc. etc. In versions of a proverb, both words jealously and envy were chosen for the same proverb.
King Solomon as a ruler in ancient times would judge those brought before him for various matters. In this capacity as a judge he must have formed various personal opinions about one person I surmise he judged to be hanged after the murderous death of his wife.
In a novel Excerpt, I surmised, based on his proverbs, how he may have explained his personal opinion to the Queen of Sheba of who he would rather choose to confront to defend himself. The novel is a contemporary application of a story form to promote understanding of proverbs and ancient wise sayings in relation to our modern times.
Excerpt
“His motive of jealously also created a consuming fire within his belly that clouded all reason and brought about a floodwater of ruthless anger. If I had to choose to stand up to battle against an angry enraged man, or a jealous man, I would choose the former.” Ruthless anger and floodwaters of rage, but who can stand before jealousy. (Proverb 27:4)

Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous but who is able to stand before envy? which is secret in a man’s heart, and privately contrives and works the ruin of another, and against which there no guarding. All mankind in Adam fell before the envy of Satan; for it was through the envy of the devil that sin and death came into the world, in the Apocrypha:
“Nevertheless through envy of the devil came death into the world: and they that do hold of his side do find it.” (Wisdom 2:24)
You Decide
Based on the news and infighting of politicians we are reading about in the news after the election, which word would you choose to best describe in your personal opinion of what may be within the hearts motivating politicians. Could it be anger, jealousy or envy for their loss of power after the election?
In My Opinion
We need to pray that politicians end their infighting because it appears to me we may all someday be judged in history for “the death of our nation.”
Hint
Perhaps if the politicians would communicate their opinions with President Trump before commenting to news media, it may serve to tone down and hopefully persuade mutual cooperation. When political policy opinions are communicated publicly in angry tones, the result to instill anger and divisiveness protests in our nation. Politicians should debate in Congress their differences rather than on TV radio where listeners do not have the same opportunity to hear both sides of the issues.
