Reality or Myth?
The Chicago Tribune article on January 16, 2016 reported and article titled, THE DANGEROUS MYTH OF THE MISSING BLACK FATHER, and related it to President Obama.  He grew up without a father, yet succeeded to become President of the USA. Is Obama an anomaly, and if, so why?

What answer does proverbial wisdom reveal a reason or factor for Obama’s anomaly? Has Obama’s message missed a major factor which contributed to his success?
Listen to a Father’s Instruction
If you compare the proverbs of King Solomon and the Psalms of his father David in the Bible you will readily comprehend the influence of his father in the beginning of his reign with this comparison example.
King David
I keep Your precepts and Your testimonies, For all my ways are before You. Tav.( Psalm 119;168)
King Solomon3When I was a son to my father, Tender and the only son in the sight of my mother, 4 Then he taught me and said to me. “Let your  heart hold fast my words; Keep my commandments and live.   5Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding! Do not forget nor turn away from the words of my mouth.…(Proverbs 4;3-5)
A Father’s Role
A son of an absent father on earth can succeed if he or she is taught to seek the blessings of wisdom and moral guidance.  God does not abandon a child who has lost a father in death, been abandoned, or was born to a faithless father. A mother will need help from family and friends and a compassionate community to help guide her children in the absence of a father on earth.
I am not implying that a mother is not capable or qualified to teach morality. What I am stating is that absent a father in a home, a child over time will come to rely more on friends and community to guide him or her. In time, peer pressures, bubbling hormones, good or bad influence of friends, and teenage independence will arrive to challenge a parent. Lack of a role model to emulate will add to the mix of keeping a child on a straight path to success in life.
Community support includes quality schools and teachers that include morality in their curriculum.  Government secular schools do not allow access to religious teachings of the Bible or any other religious faiths.  Practical wisdom may touch on moral ethics in life, and may lead to  Spiritual Wisdom, the  epitome of wisdom of life, in my opinion.
God’s Purpose and Plan?
I believe we live in a world of family and community and that appears to be a purposeful plan of our Creator. Based on religious philosophy of love, wisdom, and science, God’s plan appears to include to allow a challenge or test for us to walk on a path that is prone to influences of evil human failings and chance that we often have no personal control. That is, unless we as a community respond morally to both ourselves and our communities both near and far. Even then we may be powerless to straighten out all that we encounter in life in agreement with the observations of wise King Solomon Ecclesiastes.
Consider what God has done: Who can straighten
what he has made crooked? (Chapter 7:13)

However, Solomon goes on to inspires us not to give up our efforts to work on problems in this statement.
Sow your seed in the morning,
and at evening let your hands not be idle,
for you do not know which will succeed,
whether this or that,
or whether both will do equally well. (Chapter 11)
 In My Opinion
Obama is an anomaly to have succeeded. While his success as well as numerous other single parent children may succeeded over time, the reality is that statistics prove that the facts are that  is does prove it is possible, the likelihood is lessened.
Add an environment factor of growing up a comparison of Hawaii to a high Chicago crime district and economic factors, and the lessened likelihood increases. Add the increased number of single parent family’s growth in the USA in past fifty years and the likelihood that community can solve the problem. Add growing government bureaucracy and the problem promotes, rather than helps or solves. For example, when government aid payments exceed an incentive to work, “why work” patterns emerge to take advantage of subsidies and charities instead of helping themselves.
Solomon wrote about times in life when people will need family, friends, and community help and our duty to help people to help themselves.
What is My Point
Is promoting long term single family parenthood, regardless of skin color, with USA government subsidies is in agreement with God’s purposes and plans and is the wisest path for our nation? Would family vouchers help instill morality values for children? Will teaching love and wisdom help promote unity and peace in our nation and world.
You decide, Reality or Myth?
