What is Fairness?
There are various definitions of “fairness.” This is a dictionary definition.
“Fairness is defined as just and reasonable treatment in accordance with accepted rules or principles.”
The religious belief that only God is the final judge of fairness is explained in the Bible. We can see a classic illustration of the contrast between the consequences of focusing on “fairness” in Job 1:13-2:10. between biblical justice and “fairness.” In these verses we learn that Job was a just man. However, his wife appeared to be more concerned with fairness than justice.
As for political fairness and justice, sometimes ‘the squeaky wheel gets the most grease” seems to me to be a big factor in deciding what is fair and just.
Truth
Truth has a higher philosophical calling than fairness. So what is the truth? Is Islam a religion of peace?
To answer peace in context of radical Islamic terrorism, I believe best way to answer this question is to first understand the underlying motives for war. We are in fact in a war. Is the main motive terrorists are at war is to defend Islam? If so, defend Islam from who or for what reason?
My choice to explain the underlying reason would be this explanation stated 2000 years ago.
“Where do you think all these appalling wars and quarrels come from? Do you think they just happen? Think again. They come about because you want your own way, and fight for it deep inside yourselves. You lust for what you don’t have and are willing to kill to get it. You want what isn’t yours and will risk violence to get your hands on it.
You wouldn’t think of just asking God for it, would you? And why not? Because you know you’d be asking for what you have no right to. You’re spoiled children, each wanting your own way”. James 4:1-3

I believe the frank truth about all religious faiths is every different faith wants everyone to believe in their faith. Are they acting like spoiled children to convince a follower to come into their fold? In my opinion,
YES, If they force, threaten, tax, or discriminate against faiths other than their own.
NO, If they convince followers to join using words and actions based on wisdom and love.
Same applies for everyone who every had any quarrel about anything. Whether it be money, power, possessions, etc. In other words, the only way to ever achieve a lasting peace is by using the tools God gave us as a blessing, wisdom and love.
If you lie or speak in half-truths, whatever your speech will not survive the test of time.

“Wisdom requires the ability to discern truth in order to make good common sense decisions and judgments. Truth is strength that will withstand the test of time. Falsehoods are fragile and will fall to the ground and be detected and discredited.
Half-Truths
Why have both President Bush and President Obama proclaimed Islam is a religion of peace? Do they know something about Islam that the radical Islamic terrorists do not know?
Or are they perhaps acting as political leaders to prevent unjustified violence to peaceful Muslims in retaliation for terrorism?
If Islam is a religion of peace, who are the terrorists that shout out after killing innocent people in acts of terrorism, “Allahu Akbar” (God is greater)!
Are Muslims Fair to Americans?
There is no doubt in my mind that Americans are more fair than Muslims in comparison to allow freedom of religion in their communities
Our Constitution allows Muslims to practice their faith in the USA without interference. Some Islam nations charge a Jizza to anyone not being a Muslim in their nation.
An explanation written by an Islam defender of the Quran explains that “Jizza,” a tax placed on Christians living in a Muslim country, is perfectly fine and justified. Try taxing only Muslims in the USA and see how fast that will cause a political firestorm with the ACLU and/or other religious leaders etc, etc.
Also, is it fair that there is no one Muslim leader or group that have final authority to resolve interpretations of the Quran? That by not having a final authority, it allows any radical Iman to use the Quran to inspire followers to violence.
In my opinion we are fools to allow more Muslims to immigrate into the USA and not have any Visa restrictions on Muslims. We have more than enough immigrant problems facing Americans as I explained in Post Four.
If we want to help refugees, USAID spent three billion dollars in 2015 to aid Syrian refugees. I do not know how much more is being donated by private USA organizations. Who really knows how many more billions are being spent in foreign aid and military expense in the Mid-East.
Meanwhile our USA infrastructure is falling apart and has not been budgeted because the USA is still borrowing and adding to our National Debt.
Are American Politicians Being Fair to Americans?
Frankly, I am concerned about our politicians not being fair to Americans. Why?
The radical Islam terrorists have a goal or agenda they pursue. Our Congress does not have an agenda to counter theirs. In fact, I wonder if they are semi-comatose and even know “what the hell is going on” about the terror threat Islam poses Americans.
Politicians are making ‘politically correct’ half-truth statements that they seem to know how to keep Americans safe and that Islam is a religion of peace, while even on the same day terrorists are engaged in terrorist acts all over the world.
President Bush obviously did not understood Islam in my opinion. I sometimes wonder if President Obama worries more about Muslims than Americans. The Senate voted against the House passed bill to pause more Muslim immigrants into the USA.
Today terrorists use guns, planes, and bombs to create terror. In the future, will they use gas, poison, or dirty nuclear devices?
Terrorists are using internet propaganda to inspire homegrown terrorists and we are not using every means available to answer their claims or prevent their use of the internet.
Do politicians even know the words in the Quran and/or are they making an effort to understand or confront Islam before they voted not to pause immigration? Do they even know how many arrests have been made last year of terrorists plotting a terrorist act in the USA?
In My Opinion
Congress is in need of a big culture change in the next election. Politicians need to read the above James 4:1-3 versus above and have a heart to heart discussion among themselves to discern if they are acting like spoiled children in Congress.
